Long walks among crunchy orange leaves, pumpkin desserts, rich coffee and hot apple cider, and of course my cuddly cat.
Something that really bothers me is people who get their baby’s ears pierced.
The only argument I’ve heard is that they know their child will want piercings in the future so they are doing it now before they will remember the pain.
This is just parents making assumptions about who their children will be and what they think that child will want. It is an adult making a permanent choice that will directly impact that child.

No you can’t. It will scar. I had my ears pierced at 10, decided I didn’t like them and let the holes close. 15 years later? I have visible scars on both ears.
The consent and bodily autonomy of children is not taken nearly as seriously as it should be.
