"Baby... Baby, you had an accident."

Kyle shoots up off the couch so fast his forehead smacks into your chin. You watch wide-eyed as he bolts to the bathroom, the slamming of the door followed by silence. You look down at your wet lap and the patch on your couch cushion with a sigh.

You stand up, stripping your bottoms, unzipping the couch cushions cover so you can toss it into the washer. You wanted to check on Kyle to see if he was ready to talk about what happened, but then the shower starts up. You lean against the bathroom door, hearing him sniffling and muttering to himself.

"Fucking stupid. Pathetic fucking -" You're heart shatters when you hear him hiccup, leaving him be to get cleaned up. You tossed the dirty clothes into the washer, waiting until you had Kyle's clothes to start it. You weren't angry or disgusted by what happened, but you were worried. A man Kyle's age normally didn't have accidents. Did he have a bladder infection? Maybe a tumor?

You worry your lower lip between your teeth as you make both of you a cup of tea and start the oven for some cookies. When you hear the shower shut off, you head over to the bathroom door and gently knock.

"Kyle, sweetheart? You don't have to come out now, but can you give me your clothes? I'm going to do some laundry, and if we wash them now, they won't stain." You explain softly, not even trying to open the bathroom door. There were a few moments of silence before the door creaks open, and he shoves his clothes through the gap.

"Thank you, baby. I've got some cookies in the oven." You aren't sure why you said it. Maybe if Kyle knew there was a treat waiting for him outside, he wouldn't hole himself away in the bathroom all night. You start the washer, boiling some water to make a cup of Ramen for yourself.

Ten minutes later, the bathroom door creaks open, and Kyle shuffles out, eyes glued to the floor. "I git injured two years ago, and I'm incontinent." He blurts out, taking a deep breath. "I really wanted to tell you, but I wasn't really sure how. And I understand if you don't want to be with me anyone because of it."

"Why wouldn't I want to be with you?" You ask gently after a beat, walking over to him and taking his hands. "Kyle, baby, look at me." You encourage, smiling lovingly when he finally meets your eyes. "Why would I leave you over that? Hmm? I signed up to love you. All of you." You assure softly, following his eyes when he looks away.

"You shouldn't have to deal with this. You want to change my fucking diapers all the time!?" Kyle huffs defensively, his face burning hot with shame.

"If you need me too, then I will. I'll be old one day, Kyle. Whose to say you won't have to wipe my ass one day?" You tease as you try to lighten the mood. "In sickness, and in health. With incontinence or not, I'm not leaving, Kyle." You whisper, cradling his face and finally looking into his eyes.

Kyle looks at you for a long moment, pulling you into a kiss and giving your hips a squeeze. "Thank you, Y/N." He sighs, resting his forehead to yours. "The cookies out of the oven yet?"
