Reflecting on progress - I need to look at photos like this when I get down about an off-day or an off-week. Over 70 pounds lost in under a year is a great accomplishment.
I started counting macros on Feb 13, 2016. In March of 2016 I started PIIT28 (https://www.piit28.com/a/787/WByNo2Qf) which changed my body, but more importantly, it began to change my mind and the way I approached exercise. After losing a ton of the weight with PIIT, I turned to heavier lifting and have recently started running. The picture on the right was end of Oct. I am roughly the same weight now but have more muscle. Probably time for an updated picture...
Note to anyone reading this - you just have to start. Small efforts over a long span of time can bring incredible change. I have been off track so many times over the last year, but the difference is that this time I make sure I get back on.

I don't have a photo bc I'm dumb and didn't take any but woo I made it to the gym AND my morning class despite staying in bed more than an hour longer than planned 😂 nice weights session this morning followed by a chicken & salad wrap and the juiciest, crunchiest apple I think I've ever had 😋 now off to my French test that I've not had time to revise for as I found out about it at 11pm yesterday 😳 happy Monday everyone ☺
Today has been a good day. Finally I was able to stay at home and not go anywhere. I was able to sleep a little bit longer, which felt amazing. And what felt even more amazing was heading for run right away when I woke up! My first run since last summer and I must say I’m really proud of how I did. I ran for 3,8 km and could’ve ran even longer! It was really slippery though, which made my pace a little bit slower than normal but it doesn’t matter! I ran and it felt amazing.
I really want to get back on running again, but I’m afraid my knees will start hurting again. But I’m gonna start slowly and let my knees get used to running. Hopefully they wouldn’t mind it that much then.
I also did some PIIT28 today, Pilates Intense Interval Training. It was butt day, and my lower body was already a little bit sore from previous workouts this week but I KILLED IT! Basically it’s 7 moves, 45 seconds on each move with a 15 second break between them + repeat four times. It was hard but my mind pushed me through it. It’s not only amazing to see how your body can succeed more amazing things every week but how your mind develops to push you to your limits.
Plans for tonight is some yoga and then time for my beauty sleep. I’m ready for next week! Though I might be a little bit sore tomorrow ;).

I AM SO SORE TODAY 😭 and also tired and coming down with the flu that's going round everyone at uni 😑 I didn't get much sleep last night but I went to my 9am seminar this morning and then dragged myself to the gym even though I reeeally wasn't feeling it. I'm glad I did though bc I KILLED the @blogilates arms PIIT workout, changed up some of the moves by adding weights and it felt goood 😁 So now I'm tucked up in bed with ham & cous cous rolls, a homemade protein bar and a cuppa, ready for a nap bc I'm literally dizzy I'm so tired 😴 happy hump day guys, hope you're feeling better than me!
Four weeks vegan and doing PIIT28! Yes, there has been a change. My hourglass figure is looking better and as you can I have also lost my little lower belly bump. Those sports bras and shorts are fitting me so much better :)!
There has been times when I have struggled with this. Not with being vegan, that has been easy, but dealing with my body image. I have felt that I was just fat, didn’t make any improvement and hated what I saw in the mirror. Luckily my lovely bff irl as well as lovely @wrenberries here on Tumblr motivated me.
The change hasn’t been too dramatic between these pictures, but it doesn’t matter. My boyfriend told me the other day that my arms are slimmer (which I agree, and I’m really sad I didn’t take a before picture of them), you can feel my triceps so much better, my belly is much firmer and you can feel my abs better. Due to being vegan my skin has been feeling so much better: not that many pimples or redness anymore! Before I would have been terrified to post pictures of myself on the Internet while not wearing any makeup but not anymore. Clearer skin has given me more confidence too! My skin isn’t perfect still but I’m just so much happier to have found a solution for my skin problems. And even though the change isn’t unbelievable between this pictures, I can tell you that my clothes fit SO MUCH BETTER. I guess that is which really tells me that there has been changes happening in my body. And lets not forget that I’m so much stronger than when I started!
Ready for my first cheat meal in a month on Friday when I’m gonna go ALL OUT. But I’m gonna give myself that. I deserve that when I have worked this hard the whole month! I can treat myself for a day ;).
