This kit is very very helpful. I didn't use anything like this in the beginning but still found it useful to refresh my memory and design my own pendulum boards in my schetch books.

I've been using my pendulum for about 7 years now and have used it in professional work with great results. While I'm not perfect, I have grown in confidence and can say this kit is very very good!

Those who use pendulums will know the struggle. You set one down for all of 2 seconds next to another one, or put it in your pocket, and the chain(s) end up tangled. So rather than spend a bunch of time untangling your pendulums, why not make a display? All you need is a wooden frame for photographs, a drill or small hand saw, a ruler, a pencil, and potentially; wooden blocks to make it a stand or hooks to hang it, and sandpaper.

The size of the frame you use will depend on how many pendulums you plan to display with it. The more pendulums, the bigger the frame you need - unless you plan on making multiple smaller displays. I personally like to put a centimeter or up to an inch of space between my pendulums on my displays, to further prevent any tangling.

Once you’ve decided how many pendulums are going to be displayed on your frame, mark where each is going to go using your ruler and pencil, trying to space them evenly. Once you have the spaces marked, you’re going to want to pick a drill bit smaller than the bead on the end of your pendulums so that the chain won’t slip through when displayed. If you don’t have a drill, you can use a small saw or whittle with a knife, but the groove has to be smaller than the bead.

Be sure to test the size of the groove with your pendulums often, especially if you’re using a saw. You run the risk of splintering the frame if you’re not careful, and this means you’re more likely to have a pendulum that won’t stay in its spot. It needs to be deep enough that the pendulum will stay put, but shallow enough that it won’t weaken the frame too much structurally.

After that, you can either turn it into a stand with two extra pieces of wood as shown in the picture above, or you can place hooks onto the upper corners of the frame. Once again, drilling a hole for the hooks is a good idea so you’re less likely to damage the frame, so go slowly.

my partner and I were out yesterday doing a bit of retail therapy and ended up at our favorite metaphysical shop. they were set on finding a piece of moonstone jewelry. so while they started their search i began browsing the shop.

i stopped briefly in front of the pendulum display and was about to move on when i noticed one of them vibrating like crazy! i froze ... and immediately held my breath because i was sure i had accidentally caused it by moving suddenly or walking heavily. but i waited a full thirty seconds, which i assumed would be enough time for it to calm down and it was STILL moving. none of the others were shaking but this one couldn’t be stopped.

so, considering i’m finally back in a safe space and a place where i feel comfortable, i decided i would do some pendulum dowsing tonight. I lit some orange & vanilla incense as orange helps with divination, as well as a purple candle, and did some meditating with my crystal pendulum before I started. while I was meditating I felt like someone was watching me, and it felt like there was someone’s hand on my back to calm me down? this presence didn’t feel malevolint 

when I started dowsing i kept the questions simple at first--show me yes, show me no, and questions of that magnitude. then i decided to start asking questions about who i may be talking to. Are you a spirit? No. One of my ancestors? No. A deity? Yes.

I got a bit nervous at this answer, as i know that spirits and dark entities may disguise themselves as deities. But i didn’t feel in danger or anything so i kept going. 

Can you point to the letter of the pantheon you’re a part of? (my pendulum board as the alphabet lining the top of it). The pendulum swung towards the letter ‘G’. So you’re a deity from the Greek panethon? Yes. Are you a benevolent deity? Yes. Are you a Goddess? No. Are you a God? Yes. 

I then asked if they could tell me the first letter of their name. They swing towards the letter ‘H’. The first name that pops into my mind is ‘Hades’. So i ask them; Are you the God of the underworld? Yes. So, you’re Hades, Greek God of the underworld? Yes. 

i’ve been told/have read online that if an entity is disguising themselves as a God, and admit to being them when they’re not, that the God will smite them. I’m not sure how true this is, but it gave me some reassurance as I kept asking questions.

Is there a reason you’re talking with me?  Yes. Are you looking to work with me? Yes. This came as a surprise. Again, i’m not sure if it’s really Hades I’m talking to, but the idea that a deity already wants to work with me is really surprising; i am still a baby witch, i’m still learning the ropes. however, Hades is one of the Gods within the Greek pantheon i’ve always felt drawn to. Him and Apollo are the Gods from this pantheon i’d like to work with eventually. So, even if this isn’t him, hearing this made me rather happy. So, i kept talking with him.

I’m still a baby witch, so I don’t know if i’m ready to work with a deity. Is that okay? Yes. I don’t have all the confidence i’d like to have yet. I’m still learning to believe in myself... do you believe in me? Yes. This is where i started to tear up a lot. I thank him, and then i ask if he’ll be available to talk with me again, to which he swings towards ‘yes’. I end our talk, saying good bye to him and waiting for my pendulum to still. Once it does i literally break down crying.

Quick update:

Didn’t get to make snickerdoodles as I felt really unwell when I got home. But! I have all the ingredients now, so hopefully I can make them tomorrow. It was quite chilly so I didn’t go out today, but I did put out an offering! (first pic) Not seen in that pic is two little silver charms. My room smells so good from the offering, if you want the recipe, dm me! I took out the trash in my room and tidied up a bit. I also did some pendulum work! Here’s what I did-

“Am I going to be okay?” *yes*

“Do the fae know I want to work with them?” *yes*

“Are the fae going to take my offering?” *yes*

All 3 questions were answered with yes, so that’s a very good sign (:
