An Au where Loki visited Midgard quite often and has his own family there which he went to join forever after his confrontation with Odin(he didn't become the regent and let Frigga to deal with everything as Loki was done with everything and everyone in Asgard).
When he ended up in Midgard, Loki's first action was take the persona he had used during his other stays there as Lokajanani(it means 'mother of the world') 'Loki' Dahl before she went to visit her ex-husband(Daniel 'Dan' Potts), her blood daughter(Viriginia 'Pepper' Potts) and the multiple 'children'(by this I mean that for Loki they are children but for others almost all of them are adults...and I had in mind that some of this kids could be Peter Parker, MJ, Ned, Flash Thompson, Matt Murdock, Wade, a few of the most loved villains, Erik Killmonger, etc).
How this would change canon? Loki wouldn't send the Destroyer after Thor, there would be no suicide or mass murder attempt(Loki probably went to therapy after making sure everyone she considers family was fine...which she really needs), who comes to Midgard would for sure not be Loki(unless whoever it is, uses an illusion spell to make it look like him) and that who would defeat Thanos would be Loki and her army of kids who while not all sharing blood are vicious annoying little shits that do not fear anyone especially someone who will try to kill half of the universe.
I know this idea makes no sense but anything else(including filling plot holes) is up to whoever decides to write this.

Summary: Enjoying a holiday in Greece until a dreadful call changes it all...
Note: Ohhh I've posted it! okay, first of all, I am open to making a tag list to those interested, just tell me in the comments and I'll put you in. Two, this is the fastest fic i've finished and to me that's astonishing because as you may notice, most of my fics take me months to complete and in finishing this in a few nights is a feat to me. And third, understand that i am going back to class on Monday and thus i might not have as much time to update this as much but i promise i will be working on it and have patience with me. I am unreliable in consistency but I can promise results, even if the time is indefinite. The second chapter is in the works so bear with me and i hope you enjoy!
The sun rests low on the horizon, slowly dipping down amongst the waves. It turns the water a gorgeous shade of gold and the sky flies past in a flurry of bright and brilliant colours. Though as slow as the bright star sinks, it still let off a bit of heat. A welcoming warmth caressing the tanning skin of those still out, enjoying the last rays of the day before heading inside to avoid the chill night.
A child plays in the sand. Building castles of great architecture and collects shells and rocks of all forms and sizes, anything piquing his interests really. A bucket sat beside him and in it rests all his collected treasures. He uses some of the colourful shells and stones to decorate his castle, giving it colour amongst the muted tones of sand.
His mother sits not far from him, basking in the last of the heated rays before the inevitable task of packing up for the day. She watches her boy, clad only in his swim trunks, unruly obsidian curls bouncing at every movement as he fiddles and plays with his toys in the sand.
A warm yet solemn smile painted her thin lips as she watched over her young one, seeing features oh so similar to her husbands. From his ivory skin and up to his emerald eyes, their son was but a copy of his father. The spitting image save for the too few features he had of her, like the scattered bloom of freckles that decorated the bridge of his small nose and cheeks.
He also seems to have gotten mannerisms eerily similar that of his father, despite the brief and few memories he had of him in their short time. The pick at his hands and furrow that would rest on his brows whenever he was confused or sad was just so like her husbands. It brought an overwhelming need to be protect him from the dangers of the world, but she knew that as he grew, she wonāt be able to protect him from everything and the best she could do was to teach him how to protect himself. But as of now, she would do just about everything to keep him safe.
Just as the sun began to descend the horizon, the boy abruptly stood up and walked over to where his mother lay beneath an umbrella, clutching tight on the offering he wished to show his mother.
āMama!ā he called out as he reached near her.
āYes, my darling?ā she replies warmly.
āWook at what I found mamaā he urged for her to look once he reached the tail end of her towel, plopping down on her lap, causing her to grunt at the sudden weight while he thrusts his hands to her face, the offering in question presented. She moves to sit up, the young boy still in her lap as she adjusted her position and lifts her Ray-Banās to her head so to properly see whatever it was he so wanted her to well, see.
In his small hands, lay a green sea stone. Big enough to dwarf the small hands of a child like his own yet still small in the eyes of others. It rests softly in her sonās palms, smooth surfaced, and tinted seafoam, she understood why it would pick at her sonās interest.
āThat is beautiful loveā she praises, earning a prideful look from the little boy, his chest puffing out as his grin stretched much like a Cheshire cat. It earned a hearty chuckle from the mother, watching her sonās actions. Joyous and confident, much like how his father was before.
āMay I?ā she asked and once a nod was returned, she plucked the stone from his hands, holding it up to the sky. She hoped that what was left of the day was enough for the light to pass through the translucent glass and it did. The stone glowed bright like the waters before them.
A look of awe shaped the boyās face, his mouth hung open as he stared at the rock, but the motherās gaze only strayed for a bit before turning back to her son. The look on his face made every hardship worth it and yet again, it brought another wide grin to her face.
Pressing a quick kiss to his temples, she gave the rock back to him and still, he stared at it as if it contained the hidden magic of the world. Taking the moment with his attention pre-occupied, she brushed away the sands stuck to his skin, from his face to his pale torso, she brushed away as much as she could, but the rest would have to be washed away when they get back to their room.
Speaking of which, she glanced at the sun, the sky a canvas of pinks, oranges and violets as the sun sunk down low enough and it now meant that it was time for them to pack up and head back inside.
Her gaze lingered in the horizon until a tiny voice called her back.
āMamaā the child called for her.
āYes dear?ā
āDo you think papa would wike this?ā he asked, turning her attention back to him. There had been few and brief times that his father was asked about and often this was the question asked. The other times heād ask were always of his fatherās character. Stories of the man were told and a picture of him was kept among the boyās things as a remembrance, but it had been a long while since heās asked of him again.
She stared at the orbs identical to her sonās fathers and she couldnāt help but think of him. His charming smile, his careful touch, his loving gaze, and intoxicating smell. She longed to be back in his once safe arms, but she couldnāt, and that truth is to be accepted.
āYes he would luvā she answers. The truth was, knowing her husband, heād love anything and everything their little boy gave him. From a messily drawn card for Fatherās Day and his birthdays down to a piece of cereal the boy had been eating, the man would have been grateful for anything his boy gave him.
Ā āBwilliantā he murmurs, and she just knows he will keep it safely stashed amongst the other things he thinks his father would like. It warmed her heart to have a son so kind and giving. It made her proud that he was growing up to be as so and she just hoped her husband would be as well.
āAlright darling, we have to go pack up now. Go get your stuff and then we can go back to the room so you can have a bath and then dinnerā she explains to the young boy, tucking away the curtain of curls that hid his face behind his ears before cupping his cheek and giving his little button nose a kiss, causing him to giggle in her hold, his face scrunching up. āAlright?ā
āOkay mummaā he nodded to her command and set off to get his toys and treasures from the sand. Watching him pick up his stuff, she began to pack up as well. Tidying up the drinks and towel she had brough and place them in her bag before brushing off the bit of sand that stuck to her skin before putting on the blue summer dress atop her swimsuit for when they head back to their room.
The boy trudged back to her with a heavy bucket in hand and his kiddie camera slung around his neck. The bucket nearly overfilled with all the stones and shells he collected, along with the beach toys he used to make the castle.
Dropping it with a heavy grunt, the boy huffed and puffed at the exertion, causing his mother to stifle a laugh yet still a sound managed to escape, her hand immediately flying to muffle the sound but seeing it went unnoticed, she relaxed and dropped it.
āA bit heavy love?ā she asks.
āA wot heavyā he says, emphasizing the word like a true drama king. Wonder who he got that from?
āAlright. Now, do you want to wear a shirt before we go back?ā she asks, offering him the top he wore earlier.
āNo tank youā he declines, shaking his head.
āAlrighty thenā she puts his shirt back in the bag before slinging it on her left shoulder and picking up the castle shaped bucket (which did weigh a lot, no wonder her son was left panting) with her left hand. Her right: out in offering for the young boy to hold as they slowly walked back to their hotel.
āDid you have fun today?ā the mother asked as the walked along the beach.
āYes! Yes! Yes!ā he shouted in enthusiasm, jumping up and down. The mother could only smile at the boyās joyous behaviour, glad that she could give him fun memories to look back on.
The rest of their walk was filled with conversation about what the new thingās he discovered about the sea life, the castle he so artistically constructed and the promise of coming back here another day and by the time they reached the lobby of the resort, the mother could see how the exhaustion of the day was taking a toll on her little boy.
āAhh, Miss Acklandā Mr Birch, the evening manager greeted from behind the reception āgood day I presume?ā he questions, noting how tuckered out her normally energetic son was started to sag against her. With a brief glance to the boy and a small chuckle, she nodded.
āYes, it was good day. Especially for this oneā she replies, rubbing a thumb over the hand in her grasp, hoping to at least rouse the child until heās eaten dinner.
The man chuckles a bit, seeing how unresponsive the boy is to her attempts. āMy, the young tyke seems real knackered.ā he comments with an accent much like her own yet the way the words flow so smoothly would have anyone wrapped in a trance,
āYes well, all day out in the beach seems to do thatā she responds politely.
āWell, best not keep you from your young one and leave you to it. Have a nice evening miss.ā he bids her well off with a gentle smile that would leave any woman with a common-sense to a puddle, yet she has her immunity, and she powered through with it.
āActually, would you mind sending some food to our room in 15, 20 minutes? We havenāt had the chance to get some dinner and Iām hoping to feed at least a little into him before heās off for the night.ā She requests of the manager, really wishing to at least have her boy a few bites before going dead to the world.
āCertainly miss.ā He dutily responds, already picking up a phone to call the kitchen āJust the usual maāam?āĀ he asks of the meal, turning to her with the phone to his ear.
āYes, that would be lovely. Thank you Mr. Birchā she says with a kind grin, faintly hearing his conversation as mother and son walked away.
āYes, to the Amphitrite suite in fifteen minutes⦠Thank youā.
---
Once the pair arrived back to their room, the sun had finally set, casting a now dark canvas, littered with twinkling stars, though it went unnoticed to the weary boy who had let go of his mothersā hand as soon as they entered and dropped with a thud on the chalk white cushions once he was near enough while his mother, Ms. Ackland, relieved herself of the heavy weight she had been trudging since the beach.
āLeoā she called to the boy softly, opting to not chastise the young one when he was already weary. āCome on darling. Quick bath and some dinner then off to bed, sleepy headā
āBut Iām not sleepyā he whined, an indicator of his true predicament, even as he refuses.
āWell, a quick wash and some supper thenā she bargained even though she knew heād out like a light by halfway through dinner and when she received no response, she added āand weāll also wash up the shells and rocks you collected, and you can sort through them after.ā And with that, his head shot up, his curls bobbing as he ran (well more speed walk than run) with what energy he had left to her side, awaiting for her instructions and wanting to get his bucket of treasures so he could wash them.
With the young one finally clean and sand free, dressed in his favourite dark blue pyjamas, they set off to the sitting room portion of the suite, just in time for room service to arrive with their supper. Since Leo had his attention to his rocks and shells (fully washed and draining on a colander borrowed from the hotel), his mother was the one that had gone to get the food, still wearing her blue summer dress since there wasnāt enough time for her to get cleaned herself but she planned on doing so after her little boy had gone to bed.
She thanked the room service and closed the door of the suite before fixing up the plate of food and brought it to where little Leo was pre-occupied, seemingly sorting the rocks by colour and size on the towel laid out before him while he let the shells dry out in the colander a little bit longer. She sat beside him, setting the plate a good distance away from his work area and began to feed her little man.
The rest of that time had been quiet, save for the thud of rocks on the whitewashed coffee table and the occasional murmur to open his mouth so the mother could feed him bites of the pork Souvlaki. In between bites, sheād offer her opinion, helping out a bit on his activity but not once has he said anything. Only responding in nods and a shake of his head, another symptom of his fatigue and true to her word, with the plate half cleared, she noticed the lack of hands working through the rocks and a weight leaning on her. Turning her head, she found the boy sound asleep, a rock he had been looking at still in his grasp but the lack of movement and the slow and steady breaths he let out was enough for her to know.
Pushing the plate aside, she carded a hand through his curls, making him curl up more beside her and all that did was take her back to when it was her husband that did the same thing. Head on her lap, she would comb through his raven locks and all that would do was press a face farther onto her stomach, arms wrapping around her waist so he could pull her closer.
This was most endearing when she has pregnant. Her beloved would whisper to her belly in a hushed tone. Her hand, as always, in his head of hair and when her nails would start to scratch at his scalp, a content sigh always left him before he burrowed in the warm mass of her stomach.
Thinking back, those were near the last good moments she had of just the two of them. A loving husband, doting and caring to his beloved wife as the two prepared the arrival of their little one. So cheery and full of life, once was he and now all she could help but do is miss those moments, let alone the man he was back then.
After a small while, the mother took the boy in her arms and having done this so many times before, it was an instant that the boy instinctively wraps himself in his mothersā hold, arms circling her neck, legs locking behind her as he laid his little head to her chest, right over where her heart beat a rhythm that often lulled him to sleep. She planted a kiss at the top of his head, right on his unruly curls at she took him to the bedroom.
Laying him down in the middle of the queen-sized bed, she laid with him for a bit to make sure he would no longer stir before carefully untangling herself from his hold. She propped some of the pillows beside him, just to make sure he wouldnāt move to far to edge and fall and covered him with his blankie before deciding it was enough and she left the room, shutting the door quietly.
Taking a survey of the suite, she figured on tidying up and finishing what was left of supper before taking a shower herself, wanting to be rid of the dayās clothes and into her own pyjamas while she indulged on some wine in the balcony.
Nearly giddy at the thought, she set off in doing so and half an hour later, she emerges from the ensuite in fresh clothes, warmed somewhat by a thin green cardigan she put over.
The mother then set off to the kitchenette where a good bottle of wine chilled in the mini fridge. Now without any distractions or hesitation, she took a wine glass the concierge so kindly provided, and poured herself a hearty amount, tasting the aged, fermented juice and relishing at the thought of getting lost from her head for a few hours after a glass or two.
With the glass near empty, it was then that she remembered that she hasnāt even touched her phone nearly the whole day and seeing it sat on the counter, with a quick reach, she had it in her hand. She wasnāt surprised of the lack of notifications, so she set it down and finished the last of her glassās contents. What did surprise her though was the call that connected a minute later, the familiar name on the ID catching her unexpectedly.
She answered the call before it dropped, wanting to hear from the man after a while of no contact.
āThorā she starts, putting the phone to her ear as she poured herself another glass. āLong timeā
āYeah, um. It has, hasnāt it?ā his deep voice grumbles through the phoneās speaker.
āFive months to be exactā she clarifies, bringing the glass to her lips and takes a sip.
āSorry, itās justā¦ā he started to explain himself, but she cuts him off.
āNo. Donāt, donāt do that. Donāt say that. I could have called but I didnāt, and I am as much to blameā she clarifies, regretting making the comment when she didnāt want to take apologies when she was just as much at fault as he was.
āRight, alright. Um, whereās little Leo?ā he asks, diverting the conversation to the boy so to get out of that uncomfortable subject.Ā
āOhh, heās already in bed. Sorry. Had a long dayā.
āWow, that early. Itās just a little before nine. Usually, heād still be very active. Well from what I can remember that is.ā The blond man chuckles, remembering the nights heād spend with the very energetic child.
āActually, itās about ten before 11 here.ā
āHer- Wudduya mean here? Arenāt you in town?ā the man asks, clearly very confused and he sounds it and that is her fault.
āOhh, were in Santorini on holiday. Sorry, I havenāt informed anyone really and I would have you but-ā you havenāt called, and I couldnāt make the call myself the last bit went unsaid but the both of them knew.
āOh, okay. Alright.ā He pauses for a while, leaving a pregnant silence to fill until he did. āWell, is it good there?ā
āVeryā she responds immediately, uncomfortable by that gap. āitās beautiful. The water, the architecture, the culture, the people, itās absolutely wonderful.ā She describes, looking to the balcony where there was a perfect view of the sea. āLeoās enjoying himself too. Playing in the beach all day, making sandcastles and he collects shells and rocks that take his interest and earlier he went about to sorting them, but the little man fell asleep halfway into dinner. Too worn out from the day to even finish his sorting.ā She giggles a bit, remembering how the little boy looked all curled up beside her.
āSeems like youāre having a good time.ā The man responds, a bit despondent but she didnāt hear that.
āWe are.ā She says with a bit of pride āwe areā she repeats though this time sheās uncertain and dejected because a part of her is guilty. For actually having a good time and without the man she loves. And another part.. just wants him. To be here with them. To enjoy this with them but, we canāt have all we want now can we.
She faintly heard someone talking, someone angry and that was followed by the sound of the phone shuffling before she heard Thor again.
āSorry Em, could you hold for a minute?ā he requests, and she answers back yes but before she could ask anymore, he mutes.
She put the phone on speaker and set it down, taking a gulp of her wine and as promised, after a minute, he came and called her back.
āIām back. You still there?ā
āYahā she manages before swallowing her drink āstill here. Everything alright?ā she asks, wondering who it was that was so angry (though she should have known).
āYeah. Everythingās just fineā he replies, sounding out breath.
āYou sure?ā
āYeah, absolutely. Terrificā he says with far too much cheer, it annoyed her enough to know it was fake.
āThor.ā She says firmly, setting her glass down the marble counter āWhatās going on?ā she demands sternly, using the voice she rarely would use to chastise Leo with when on bad behaviour, not wanting some half-arsed answer.
Again, a long of silence stretched on until with a heavy sigh, he began.
āHeās in hospital again.ā He confesses and she shakes her head, knowing well who he meant. Irritated was she, evidently enough to pick up her glass and divide its contents into half.
āHeās always in hospitalā she replies after swallowing, swirling the liquid around the glass and she watches in fascination, wanting to get her head from what he just said.
āNo. This is different.ā He presses, knowing the times heās said this before were for minor and abrasive accounts.
āWhat do you mean?ā she pesters, her voice now wobbly as a burst of possibilities swirled in her head.
āHe um- āhe stops himself, swallowing the hard pill because knowing her, telling her this would only tear her apart. āHe rang me earlier.ā That enough was a giveaway that something was wrong, the severity was the only missing piece. āHe was in pain, and he could barely let out anything before he dropped the phone and groaned in agony.ā Her breathing hitched then, tears welling her eyes while her hand flew to her mouth. āI got to him as soon as I could, and when I found him, he was on the floor, in painā He hated repeating that but all he could do was relay the accounts of what happened as it was still all so fresh and hope he could filter it as much as possible. āI called for an ambulance and tried to get him to tell me what was happening, but he couldnāt even respondā he chokes, remembering the sight and it flashes before his eyes, as if he was reliving the whole painful ordeal again.
Emma on the other hand, had tears quietly running her cheeks, hand still tightly clasped to her mouth for fear she would let out a sob that would not only alert Thor but Leo as well. Her mind ran rampant, creating images and images of her pained husband, lying helplessly in pain on the floor, asking for help to no one because of his solitude. Not knowing if he there was anyone coming at all.
Guilt held a tighter grip on her breaking heart as her mind convinced herself that it was her fault that he was alone. She should have been there. She shouldnāt have left. She should have taken care of him and maybe he wouldnāt be where he was if it she had just stayed and cared for him. But she didnāt and she wasnāt there when he was helplessly lying on the ground, wondering if the last thing heād see was the dirt and bottles that undoubtedly littered the floors around him instead of his beloved wife and darling son.
She swallowed back the sob itching to escape her lips, desperate on not making a sound.
Her mind was taking a turn in the labyrinth it already was, taking her to unknown ends of painful scenarios her unyielding mind procures when she still doesnāt have the pieces to the whole story.
A creep of silence then went on for the benefit of both. Time for them to compose themselves before the once boisterous man continued.
āThe ambulance-ā he begins once more, though demurely ā-arrived quickly. And they took him to the hospital immediately, seeing the state he was. Even the doctors didnāt know what was happening to him, but they gave him morphine for the pain.ā He somewhat assures and it relieves her a bit knowing he wasnāt in pain anymore. āThey let him rest for a bit before they took him for tests. Heās resting now though. Theyāre keeping him for the night under observation but there was talk that the stay might be indefinite until they figured out what was wrong. Just in case another attack happened but you know himā he teases lightly, not wanting to drown in the dampening mood this whole conversation, hell this whole ordeal has taken and neither did she so, she appreciates the lightening.
And she also knew what he meant. Her husband hated hospitals. Even stepping one foot inside churned his insides enough and being a patient? Weāll she knew enough to give her an idea of what happened.
It didnāt help her to think of his reaction to being told that he had to stay the night. Scared as he might have already been, the prospect of staying even longer undoubtedly terrified him and thus she concluded that he refused the longer stay.
Thinking of it, the only time he was at some sort of ease while in the hospital was when they took baby Leo for his newborn check up and even then he was anxious. The check-up had been a necessary. Just to assure the new parents that their little one was alright and properly checked on since a homebirth lacked that formality. The man himself had been the one to insist on the homebirth and Emma didnāt object to that, wanting to give the man a sort of peace as they brought their child to the world. His fears only eased once the doctor told them that everything is just as it should be about their newborn and there and only then did he relax as he rejoice on the fact that they had a health baby boy.
That clued her enough of his fear of hospitals and that information didnāt help her at all now.
āThe doctors are coming back in the morning for the results but after that, he insists on leavingā he continuous to inform her, wary of her lack of response.
She hasnāt said anything since the start of his recount. Not a sound could be heard from her end of the line, and it unnerve him, making him check to see if the call was still on and it was. It took him a few good minutes, but he deduced why she was so silent.
He knew his sister well and the things heās regaled to her⦠he just knew it was breaking her being apart.
āEmmaā he called out, wanting to be sure he was still taking to someone. āyou still there?ā
āyahā she muttered, barely audible but he heard.
She had sunken to the floor, leaning against the counters as she pulled her knees to her chest, arms wrapped around them as she silently cried. Her phone still sat atop the island, her call with her brother-in-law still ongoing yet there she was, listening, tears running her cheeks as she listened to him describe the torment her beloved endured.
āHe needs you nowā the man murmurs, pleading for his brotherās sake that she come back. He knew his little brother wouldnāt take it if these pains continued on and he feared the day he would give up. And without the person he loves most, the person that had been his solace long before, his rock and home, he is terrified of that end coming too soon.
The woman could only swallow at the manās words before clamping a hand on her mouth and burying her head to her knees as an unrelenting sob escapes her. She had no control of it and the others that followed but she did have control of how loud they would come to so she did her best to make as little sound as she possibly could.
Try as she did though, Thor heard her. Muffled as it was, he knew that sound better than he liked to admit and not once did his heart break not break for her every time.
ājust⦠please come backā he begs her once more, intending to end the call and leave her to some privacy. He stays on for a bit longer and just as he was about to press the end button, she called out to him, saying his name in an unsteady voice, congested and clear that she had been crying.
Two days she wanted to say. Give her two days and she would do everything she could to be there as soon as possible but what left her mouth wasnāt so. āTake care of him for meā she pleads her own, on the brink of another fit of sobs but she held on till the call ended.
āAlwaysā he responds before ending the call and with that her resolve crumbles.
Once again, her hand flies to cover her mouth, going in to cover and muffle the onslaught of sobs she had no hope of controlling but⦠they never came. Whether it was for some preservation for Leoās deep sleep or her sudden inability to, they never come. What took its place though was a rush of tears and a heavy heart.
Leaning back on the limewashed cupboards, she let her tears run and her heart sink for she thought she deserved it. The guilt eating at her from the inside. Churning her stomach to knots and crushing her heart to shreds. It manipulated her. Turning her to the villain at the heart of this mess when she had done nothing but protect herself and her son from the tragedy that was once a happy family.
Her mind was a cruel and fickle thing. Making her believe the lies it comes up with and without the one person who knew how to lead her out of the labyrinth, she was lost. Facing every new dreaded possibility at every dead end without escape or clue on how to get out because the person that always led her to the exit, became the reason she was lost and missed it.
She didnāt blame him though. Despite what the others do, not once did she blame the poor tortured soul of her husbandsā because how could she. She could have helped him and stayed by him, just as she vowed but breaking that promise lost her the right to blame, not that she would.
In sickness and in health⦠clearly she didnāt hold her promise on that.
She drew her knees back to her chest, letting her heart wrench while a hand rose to reach for the bottle of wine that still sat on the bench. Once she got that down, Emma took a big swig right out of the bottle, never minding the glass she used before. Her only goal. To suffer and hope sheād be numb enough to stop the tears from flowing.
And thatās how she spent the rest of the night. Sat on the kitchenette floor of her suite, back against the cupboards as she let her tears dry out while burning a bottlesā worth of wine through her liver, letting her guilt and sorrow drape over her as it would a child under a tablecloth on Halloween.
Thor: *he gets into his car and starts driving* that was a fun day, wasn't it, Haven?
Silence
Thor: Haven? *he turns to look at the backseat, no baby in sight, his heart drops* oh no. *he drives back to the park, no Haven* shit
*30 minutes later*
Thor: *he enters the cottage* brother I- *he flinches at the stab* oh yes, deserved that *he groans at the next stab* that too *he drops to his knees from the punch in the gut* and that
Loki: *holding Haven, seething* you left my daughter?!
Thor: I thought she was behind me!!
Y/N: you're digging a bigger hole, Thor!
Loki: *he kisses Haven's head and glares at Thor* it's okay, Haven, no more play dates with Uncle Thor until you're much older
Y/N: and even then, supervised.
Thor: but-
Loki: I could kill you right now for leaving my darling princess. I never felt so terrified as when she called out to me screaming. I heard her from New York, Thor, New York!
Thor: apologies won't lessen your anger?
Y/N and Loki: NO!

Idk what this is, I'm half asleep and needed to write it š¤·
A quick break from my normal Danny Phantom and DCU obsessions to give love to Frostbite, one of my favorite fanfics on AO3, in which Loki is Peter Parkerās bio-mom, and Spidey gets some of the superhero support he deserved.
Loki is living a new life with his rescued kids(the ones from myths)(and maybe new babies) in New York. Loki now hasĀ friends, neighbors that love him (he baby sits some times), a high paying job where he is adored, and finally get to live with his amazing kidsĀ in a really big apartment.
Now Iām thinking:
Ā Peter Parker lives in the same apartment complex and is close with one of the kids (like BFFās)
Peter is always over and sees it as a second home and Loki as a second mom (maybe he even stays there if something happened to may)
Loki probably stays as a girl to help hide his identity
Loki probably works at a museum, university professor, as an actress, an interpreter, or something like that(Loki is ridiculously smart, knows how to play people, and would honestly have a high end job like that)
Loki has so much experience raising kids that she is the go to babysitter
Loki is an activist in the community (he had a very hard/shitty time growing up in non-progressive Asgard so he wants to help people by setting up rallys, therapy groups, and all forms of awareness/help)
So after being the big bad villain Loki is now the Saint of the community (heās supermom)
Some other things to possibly add
Loki could meet Tony at some kind of mandatory function that he had to go to for his job. Loki looks hot so Tony hits on her. Loki then stares at him and tells him that she has # kids I donāt have time for a one night stand (it would be very funny). Or she could be late like āsure. Iām a single mom of # young kids by the way. Iām sure you would be a great dadā and she says all of this just so he would walk away (hahahahaha)
Shield and the Avengers find out about Loki and take him away. They later go to his place to find out any dirt about him and find out about his kids. His neighborās tell Shield that he was a nice person, happy to help, a person that never gave anyone trouble, and baby sat for the neighbor. The neighborās may even bad mouth the shield agents for taking away a caring mom to prison away from her kids.Ā
might add a second part to this later or something like it
as always let me know what you guys think. also tell me if you guys want to write any bit of this idea for me.

This is more of a question for fanfiction, but I've noticed that there is a trend in making Loki an "absolutely lovely father" to whatever children or children figures he has in fics or headcanons. And I'm pretty sure this is more based of Tom Hiddleston's charm then anything else. While I enjoy them sometimes, I have a suspicion that MCU Loki would be a far less perfect father if he was based in canon. especially since his model of parenting would be Odin and Frigga. In fact his model of family is dysfunctional as hell, So I'm willing to bet cash he'd be a slightly dysfunctional father/mother.
If Thor1 Loki had been a father, what do you think his parenting style would be, in comparison to Dark World Loki?
This is an interesting question and I have to say I am one of those who headcanon Loki as an absolutely lovely father :D But you mentioned an interesting point too.
First let's talk about where this headcanon might have come from. Tom is a lovely human being, but imo for the most part his personality isn't the reason for this particular headcanon. I think this headcanon firstly is rooted in Norse mythology. Loki has many kids in myth. Sleipnir the eight legged horse, Fenrir the wolf, Jormunganrd the giant serpant, Hel, Narfi and Vali. In Lokasenna Odin also mentions that Loki once spent 8 winters on Earth as a woman and bore children. There is also a story in which Loki saves a child from a troll. I particularly like this take in regards to Loki and children in Norse mythology. There are also instances of Loki as a father in comics.
But can Loki be a good father based on MCU canon and his dysfunctional family history? It is true that people might repeat the style of parenting they experienced and continue the cycle of abuse. But it is not necessarily predetermined that you end up parent your children like your own parents. The key is having self-awareness and reflecting on your actions and also being aware of what your parents did to you.
What Loki experienced with his parents, was neglect and abuse from a narcissistic father who lied to him and favored his brother. Frigga was kind and cared about Loki and was close to him but she was an enabler for Odin. And Loki is aware of what's been done to him. He knows he's been neglected and disregarded by Odin. It's just that until knowing about his race, he thought Odin's behavior was his fault, that he's been doing sth wrong that he was never seen and accepted like Thor. That's why he said "It's all make sense now. Why you favored Thor all these years...". He has realized it wasn't about what he was doing wrong, it was about what he is. Even Frigga's usual excuses for Odin doesn't convince him. We also see in TDW how he stands up for himself against Frigga who is hypocritically guilt tripping him and defending Odin.
This awareness about Odin's brand of abuse and neglect won't let Loki do the same to his children. And if you look at his interactions with the people he loves, neglect is simply not sth Loki does. He loves people deeply and cares a lot, express his love for them, pays attention and care about their emotions. So imo he won't ever neglect his children or imitate anything Odin has done to him.
I think Loki's parenting style would be more like Frigga since he was close to his mother. He would be kind, understanding and praise his children's abilities. His flaws could probably be over-protectiveness and a tendency to hide things from them not to worry or hurt them. But I don't think he would hide things as important as their race like what Odin did. Because he says in the vault scene "You could have told me from the beginning. Why didn't you?". It shows that Loki knows that's the right thing to do, to not hide sth as important from a child.
There can be another flaw in his parenting before the events of Thor 1, and that imo is excusing Odin's actions like Frigga. Remember that Thor and Loki both regard Odin as their idol and want to be worthy in his opinion. So Loki might excuse Odin's actions if he does anything that upsets Loki's children. I also think it would have been really interesting if Loki had children in Thor 1. Because he wouldn't have so easily called or seen Jotuns as monsters. There is no way that Loki sees his children as monsters. So everything would be more confusing for him, or even slightly better? Because if his children who are Jotuns aren't monsters then other Jotuns can't be monsters as well.
This flaw, excusing Odin's actions, would be absent in TDW as Loki has fully realized Odin's hypocrisy and won't fall for any manipulation from him or Frigga again. On the other hand, he now tends to be more secretive about what has happened to him and might hide his emotions or his pain from his children more.
All in all, I'm in favor of the headcanon that Loki would be an absolutely lovely parent but imo he will have some flaws as well, since no one is flawless. But it will never be anything to the extend of what his parents has done to him.
Marionette's first morning in the tower. Both Clint and Loki get a scare. Part 2 of The Marionette Tales.
Notes:
This started as a one shot based of an "imagine Loki" prompt (The Marionette Tales part1) and has grown into a series written on my cell phone.
Disclaimer: I don't own marvel characters, I know this, you know this, don't sue me. Besides if you did sue me, the only thing you're likely to get is pocket lint.
XOXOX
Out of all my aunts and uncles I think my uncle Clint can be the most fun. Our first meeting was an accident. It may have also put the first grey hairs on Dad's head.
I don't remember much of my frist night in the tower. Stormie... er... I mean uncle Thor had apologized for his terrifying storms. Dad had carried me away as Uncle Tony was shouting at us.
At frist when I woke up I didn't know where I was, the bed was too big, the room too clean and I was alone. I had never had room to myself before, let alone a bed. It was all too much. I scrambled out of bed and found myself the smallest place I could squeeze into, a cubby in the back of my closet.
"Marinette, since you apear to be awake would you like some breakfast?" It took me a few minutes to recognize Loki's voice. My stomach rumbled as I thought about his offer. I crawled out of the closet slowly and waited for him to yell at me. You weren't suposed to hid at the orphanage. Gentle fingers pushed my chin up to look at his face.
"You are not in trouble little one. Let's get some food and we can talk about making your own safe space to go to when you get scared." In the begining I didn't understand how Loki knew what I needed. Later i would learn we were too much alike. I nodded at him, he took my hand and led me back to the common room. Along the way he told me how everyone had thier own apartments but shared a sort of communal space. Placing me on one of the stools in the breakfast nook, Loki started to survey the contents of tje cubboards. After some grumbling he turned back to me.
"Marinette, none of this will do. Midgardian poptarts should be here unless that idiot brother of mine is hording them again. Wait here, I'll return with our breakfast treat."
"Ok Mr. Loki." I'm not sure how long I waited. Someone I had never seen before stumbled into the kitchen. I wasn't worried about him, Loki had explained that there were several other people who lived here and that I'd met them all eventually.
I watched the stranger make his way to the coffee maker and press a botton to start it. He seemed to nod off and jerk awake several times while waiting for the maker to finish brewing. As it growled and hissed its last drops he grabbed the carafe and took a gulp from it.
"Hey Mister! You're suposed to use a cup!" the carafe fell to the floor shattering as the stranger spun to face me, a knife in his hand. We stared at each other for a minute, his face grew paler the longer we stared. He slowly lowered the knife.
"What are you doing here, sweetheart?"
"Waiting for poptarts. Why did you have a knife? Were you gonna cut up some friut? Cause I like apples."
"Yes Barton, why did you have a knife pionted at my daughter?" It was one of the only times I've seen Loki and Thor as a untied menacing force against any of the other tower residents. Both were furious.
Incase you live under a rock there are two very well known and very good slave Loki fics where Loki had a kid that calls him Modi and gets in a relationship with Tony. But for some reason there arenāt more like that. And even weirder is that itās always Tony that finds and rescues Loki, itās never the whole team or Thor. And Loki always only has one kid and while being on the skinnier side seems to be doing fine for a slave. So my brain decided to give me a heavily whump story where the Avengers find Loki(almost dead) and his two children.
...... Except I donāt exactly know how the ending goes. So I decided to put it up here. Most of the brainstorming is already done for you I just need details and a happy ending. So come on inside and write a story or just see how awesome my brain child is.
So Loki was brainwashed/coerced by the chitari and Thanos to invalid Midgard. Loki either never got the chance to tell his side of the story, no one believed him, or they degraded him and made him feel weak for giving in to torture. Odin decides that Loki will have his powers sealed and his rights stripped from him and makes him a slave to this mean noble. Lokiās position is basically lower than everyone (even the other slaves). His room is basically a dark closet, he wears the worst clothes, is starved, given a crappy haircut, and is picked on by everyone all while people tell him everything is his fault and he deserves this. So Loki starts to believe it. Loki also gets raped and expects to be raped. But Loki was raped as a child (around 13-15) and it ended up with him having a kid (Sleipnir) and never doing anything besides holding hands, cuddling, and kissing in a relationship.Ā
So the first time Loki has sex again after being raped as a kid is to being raped again. Loki falls pregnant and gives birth alone to a daughter(and it was not an easy pregnancy because no one would do anything to help him). Loki then tries his best to raise his slave daughter (constantly feeling bad that she has a terrible life because he was so weak) and doing extra favors to get herbs to make sure he doesnāt end up pregnant again. Then Loki finally ends up pregnant again when his daughter is like 4 or 5 and it doesnāt go very well. Loki is severely starved and weak when he gives birth(in his closet of a room with only his daughter present) when Loki starts bleeding during the delivery. Loki manages to give birth to a healthy son before all hell breaks loose. Loki pleads to heimdal to help his kids by bringing them to Thor or someplace safe before he passes out(loki is either dead at this point or almost dead)(and maybe heimdal feels bad for Loki and transports the kids to the avengers in New York where they then find out whatās going on and vow to rescue Loki and take care of the kids).
For some reason Thor and the avengers need Lokiās magic expertise and they all go to the lord that has Loki. They are all under the impression that Loki is doing something like heavy mandatory community service and donāt know that Loki is a slave. When they show up and ask for Loki they are either brought to his closet room (where they then see a Loki covered in blood and looking dead)or told that he was just found dead. Thor then demands to see the body and is then shocked to see the state his brother is in. With all his bones sticking out and blood all over him Thor knew that whatever happened to his brother wasnāt good. He then finds Lokiās children in the corner of the room being quiet (like when Kenny finds Levi in Attack on Titan) and Thor is horrified about what has happened because he finally knows the gravity of the situation. (Iām thinking he goes full on rage with lots of yelling) ( if youāve ever read He loves me, He loves me not by Phoenix Demitto then you know exactly what Iām talking about. If you donāt then itās your loss and you should go read it) He then takes the kids home(and Loki if he is still hanging on) to take care of them.
Also add:
They later find out how self-deprecating Loki is and the fact that the attack on Midgard wasnāt Lokiās fault. And they all have to help Loki finally understand that this isnāt his fault and he deserves happiness.
Lokiās daughter called him Modi.
The shitty lord trying to keep Thor from taking Lokiās body because he still owns him even if heās dead and people pay lots of money for the corpse of a strong magic user.
The cuffs or spell that Odin placed on Loki keeps him in that form which is why even though he he is dead he did not turn back into a jotun
And if Loki dies then the Norms decide to bring him back because A. Lokiās life sucked B. He didnāt deserve that C. They still need him D. Loki should be happy
It would be awesome if someone takes Loki as side and finally shows and gives him a healthy and normal sexual relationship
You donāt need to use all of this if you donāt want to you. And let me know if you are interested in picking up this story. That way I can be the first ones to read it.
-Incase anyone was wondering the two fics that mostly contributed to the inspiration of this story are Anything for Her and Butterfly all on AO3
