With the guild being in a tight spot for coin, Vekel had the splendid idea for the Ragged Flagon to host themed evenings to bring in customers through the Ratway. Not everyone is as happy about it as others.

Hi so you had a post on Skyrim hugs, and with Erandur you wrote at the end "Whatever's hurting you will pass soon" and I have the most vivid memory of, when I first read that post, misreading it as "Whoever's hurting you will pass soon" and being SO confused for a second like "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? ERANDUR???".
So I just wanted to share that story and also ask you: All Skyrim characters you write for, out of the categories "Whatever's hurting you will pass soon", and "Whoever's hurting you will pass soon", who falls under which?
Oh my goodness, I love this, lol! Erandur: I'm a healer, but...
"Whatever's hurting you will pass soon": Enthir, Niruin, Ronthil, Ralis Sedarys, Vicente Valtieri, Erandur, Marcurio.
"Whoever's hurting you will pass soon": Ancano, Lucien LaChance, Ondolemar, Ravyn Imyan, Teldryn Sero, Vingalmo, Vyrthur.

How N found out she's Bosmer....
Together, the group of childhood friends also went on small adventures when there was time to spare! Especially when life was hard, they had their way of hanging around and about as well. Sometimes the off-days were spent by lazily laying in a grassy field in the sun, sometimes it ended up with small explorations of caves or ruins, ending up in near-death adventures that left bruises and good stories. The most memorable of these, and the one most frequently referenced when someone wanted to embarrass the whole group at once, involved a cave roughly an hour outside Riften where they had been reliably informed there was treasure. Unfortunately, there wasn't any. There was, however, an extremely large and deeply unimpressed bear, which sent all four of them scattering in every bloody direction. Vex threw herself straight into the lake, Tonilia ducked behind the nearest boulder, and No One scrambled up the nearest tree. Brynjolf was hot on her heels, and the two of them ended up just chilling up there in the branches, laughing their heads off at Vex and Tonilia belowâright until the bear doubled back and sent the other two running for their lives again. Brynjolf still claims he only climbed up to rescue her, while No One swears she didn't need any help and was simply resting.
Little Mouse N had always been drawn to plants. From the time she was small enough to remember, she would stop in her tracks whenever she passed a pretty flower, leaning in to breathe in the beautiful scent. At first it was purely aesthetic â flowers were beautiful, and they smelled like everything Riften did not. So, it didn't take long for the collecting to turn into something more practical. Entering the "Bee and the Barb" one early afternoon she held a handful of stems in her tiny hand and tried, with limited success, to sell them to a pair of travellers when a young Bosmer at the next table looked up from his drink. He watched her for a moment. Something in the way she moved â or perhaps in the shape of her face â caught his attention. He asked her, mildly, whether she had any kin in Valenwood. No One blinked at him. She knew what a Wood Elf was, of course. She had not, until that moment, considered that she might be one herself because she looked rather different.
The Bosmer set down his cup and explained, easy and unhurried, that she most likely carried a natural resistance to poison â common enough in those of Wood Elf descent. The fact that nightshade tasted like cherries to her was, he said, a fairly reliable indicator on its own. Curiosity overtook her at once. To test the theory she promptly ate another nightshade in front of him, watching him watch her, and once again the petals failed to kill her.
What followed was the first proper â no stutter, no stumble â conversation she had ever had with another adult who didn't treat her like a damn baby! She bombarded the man enthusiastically with a dozen questions and he answered them patiently. He explained to her how to tell the difference between a poisonous plant and a healing one, how leaves could be brewed for fever-medication and roots ground for ointments or how certain berries belonged nowhere near a stewpot. When he had run out of casual tutorials and most of his ale, he paid for a treat for her at the counter, pressed a small worn notebook into her hands â his own, full of his notes on the common flora of the Rift â and went on his way without so much as asking her name.
She had not, until that moment, owned a book. So, she held the thing tightly all the way back to her sleeping bag in the Ratway as if it were treasure. By the time she found Brynjolf and Vex, excitement was already tumbling out of her: the Bosmer, about the nightshades, about the resistance, about the notebook, about wanting to learn this, about being able to treat their wounds the next time they got hurt. Vex listened with her arms crossed and the corner of her mouth twitching upward. Brynjolf listened with the kind of slow grin that, in years to come, would still surface whenever he caught her bent over a herb tableâŚÂ

i think itâd be really funny if in skyrim they would have made radiant conversations like they did in oblivion with the same voice actors talking to each other.
Revyn and Niruin confronting each other over Niruin breaking into Sadriâs Used Wares.
Belethor and Mallus Maccius making sleazy jokes about women.
Tonilia and Grelka getting into a cat fight over some loan.
justâŚthe wittiness of a voice actor talking to themselves as two different characters never loses its charm on me
Best Thieves Guild NPC Tournament: Round 2
Niruin vs Vex
Niruin
Vex
I'm not quite sure how this will go, though I have suspicions. Niruin is an established member of the guild, but Vex is more important, both in its structure and in terms of gameplay. Will her extra dialogue and characterization help her here, or will her association with the most widely mocked quest in the game drag her down?

Not making a lot of progress with this chapter. Someone might even claim that I love to hate it and hate to love it. Buuut at least I can keep working on other chapters on the side! Though now that my lectures are over and my Summer break is here, I'll have more time to write, so I'll probably finish editing this soon [lies]. I'll hopefully also have more time for recruiting a new beta reader as well. But until then we're rawdogging it!
We're still in Riften here. Something something, the Thieves Guild and Niruin.
