I've been thinking and come November, I might participate in NCN (No Content November -> read about it here).
Constantly, creators and non-creators make posts to tell others that REBLOGS HELPS CREATORS. And apparently, it's like a skipping record. No matter what, it seems that no one cares to reblog anything unless the post is something stupid like a photoshopped picture of a bird wearing a fedora.
It's really sad to me that there's thousands of posts telling people over and over that reblogging helps creators' works get noticed and people will still just like their content.
Do people not understand that despite creating stuff is something fun to do it does acquire time, energy and money? People post fanarts, edits and fics for FREE and most of them (if not all) actually have to pay for the programs they use.
Do you really think creators just pull a finished piece right out their ass?
Yeah, again, people share their content for free but they're not obligated to. They share because they want to. Creating what they create made them happy and want to make others smile, too.
IT DOES NOT HURT TO SHARE/REBLOG THEIR WORK!
A lot of you still have blank blogs! For what?! Exactly for what?! Yeah, it's your blog, but guess what? You will most likely get blocked.
If you have an empty blog, instead of just liking the content, reblog it, too! There! Something to do with your blog!
I have requests closed because I just don't see the point of opening them to anyone anymore since the work I put time and effort into only gets likes. That's it. What's the point of giving gifts when the people aren't grateful?
So yeah, to the person who came up with the idea of No Content November, I think you're a genius! People really do need to see how it is when their "favorite creators" don't post any content for them to enjoy when they don't give them support.
