So, in my fic im planning on writing, the alpha ends up getting kidnapped and bitched by said kidnappers. I was wondering if due to the fact it was completely unwilling on the alphas part, and in an unsafe environment if one: it would work, and two: if there would be any lasting health effects on the now omega.

Im also planning on having him develop Stockholm syndrome due to the whole situation, which was mostly influenced by a mating bite. However, I am following his canonical escape which entailed basically killing everyone, so I was wondering just how that would affect the omega, since he was the one to kill his "mate" instead of someone else, and the added Stockholm syndrome:3 due to purely angst reasons I want the bond to last after the fact, but im not entirely sure how it would work while making sense. Ik its omegaverse and I can make shit up but some starting ideas would be nice!

let's start with some good news: there really isn't any reason why bitching shouldn't work even when it's 100% real non-con. while it can be used to help a willing alpha transition into an omega, that wasn't exactly its original purpose as a trope. quite the opposite actually. it's essentially just a way to make rape even worse for the victim. you certainly don't need to explain how or why bitching works in your story, but you could certainly use any explanation you make up for further angst. like say, bitching specifically happens as a survival tactic, the body changing itself to omega in hopes an attacking alpha who has overpowered their victim will lay claim to them as their omega rather than kill them. or you could say a bitching only happens when an alpha truly submits to another alpha, and make your guy hold out until he's nearly unconscious and then layer on some guilt later like "if I'd been stronger mentally this wouldn't have happened". whatever you feel would make him feel the worst, really. plenty of options.

the lasting health effects are a bit more difficult. you don't necessarily need to give him some, but of course you always could. for fun. I feel like it's easy to give him something like gender dysphoria about everything that has to do with him now being an omega, or perhaps feeling detached from his body in general as a way to cope with having had zero control over what happened to him. but on a more physical level, perhaps his omega biology just doesn't quite work right? stuff like irregular heats, messed up or lost fertility, erratic instincts that feel too subdued a lot of the time but then spark to insane levels under stress or at random... though these are just ideas I had.

as for the bond lasting, you can totally make it work and make sense. so long as it's not like, a genuine mental connection, which you obviously couldn't have with a dead person. but you could make a bond just impossible to break and have him be stuck with it forever, or make it only breakable if he bonds with someone else, or have it be a time thing where if he goes maybe a year or two of obviously not being around the dead dude, it'll go away. the lingering effects of it can be something like longing for his presence when vulnerable even if that makes no logical sense, or being repulsed by other alphas, or still feeling like he's around in some way, like thinking his scent is still clinging to the protagonist. not to mention the mark will stay, and he'll still smell like he's bonded to other people.

tbh idk how killing his own mate would affect him, I don't think I ever read a story with that. but it certainly wouldn't be easy to do in the first place, like not impossible or anything, but definitely there'd be an instinct against it. kinda like how you can totally bite your own tongue off and die that way but it's impossible unless you really, really intend to do it. thinking about it afterward may make him feel nauseous, or his bond mark could hurt. depending on how tangible you want to make his omega instincts, this could really mess them up, like if there's an inner omega that voice would not be happy with killing the mate and wouldn't be easily appeased either. but even if not, it's gotta suck being torn between feeling the physical need to be close to someone and viscerally hating them to the point of having killed them.

I am SO sorry, I know this question can be EXTREMELY personal... But I have a character meant to represent male and female SA and nonconsensual sex and really badly don't want to make them seem "not serious" or give "bad representation" to survivors. The character is also meant to represent how bad beauty standards have gotten and how beauty companies lie. They're also meant to represent the horrible things idols can go through. But they most importantly represent SA and nonconsensual sex for both men and women, and I would hate to not be able to represent them properly.
