The Æsir hate his species and want to commit genocide against them.

They burnt his first wife (three times) who he had numerous children with, who were "monstrous" for the Æsir, but normal for his species.

They imprisoned one of his children, threw one into the ocean, rode one into battle, and banished the other to Helheim.

Then he marries into the Æsir, and has two more Æsir children with his new wife Sigyn.

He gives them Mjölnir, Skíðblaðnir, Gleipnir, Hringhorni, Gullinbursti, and Freyr's sword among other gifts.

They keep killing his species. They won't release his "monstrous" children from imprisonment.

He gives a weapon to a blind man to kill their favorite "unkillable" god. Oðinn's child.

He shows up to Oðinn's dinner party, who swore on a blood oath that he would always share his mead with Loki. Loki insults everyone there, allegedly kills a random guy, sets the building on fire.

They catch him, turn the one Æsir child into a wolf, it mauls his other Æsir child, and they imprison him with the entrails of his own child.

Some writers depict Vali & Narvi as children. Others depict them as adults... So what's the truth?

Well, officially, Vali & Narvi's ages are never plainly stated. The Eddas only say they are Loki & Sigyn's sons.

However, I do believe there Snorri left us some clues in different stories - maybe not directly about Vali & Narvi, but through some other characters, we can make our own opinion.

As far as I'm concerned, I see Vali and Narvi as young kids, because it makes sense. They are often aged up because people don't want to see their favorite gods killing children in such a gruesome way. Same reason why they are erased 🙄 Another reason why is because writers switch up Angrboda and Sigyn's places, making Loki meet Angrboda after Sigyn… Which was never the case. When Angrboda was introduced after the 12th century, it was pretty clear she was supposed to be his first wife, not a mistress 🙄 To anyone who read the Eddas and the sagas, it's pretty obvious because it's implied. Hel, Fenrir and Jormungandr are all adults. Hel has lovers, Fenrir has kids, Jormungandr is grow and has cameos in some of Thor's stories. I also believe they're kids because of the way Snorri treats the other kids of the gods. As I said, the 3 special kids got grown up stuff of their own, but they're not alone in that

And Loki's doing all the motherly things like braiding their hair, giving them baths (cut the cord already, they're grown adults living on their own atp), cooking three meals a day, and complaining constantly but when anyone offers to help he gets mad, especially Thor. And bonus points if all his kids are really clingy and needy even though they're grown now. Like "yes mama I need you to brush my hair in the morning and sing me a lullaby to sleep. Yes I also am the fascist dictator of Helheim and an actual demon but you're my mama."

And Loki is the sweetest, most caring mom ever too. And it is so off-putting to everyone who knows him but hasn't seen him interact with his kids. Like he will be glaring someone down, smirking like a madman, looking like he's about to bite someone's head off, then Sleipnir comes into the room asking where he put his necklace and Loki switches into mom mode instantly and whoever he's intimidating is just like. Seriously? Is this real?

And bonus points for basically-dad uncle Thor. Like they're married now and he was right alongside Loki raising them their entire childhoods so yeah, that's their uncle, but 1000% their father figure. And Thor is such a girl dad too like Hela is his daughter and they spent so much time in her childhood playing tea party and dress up (they still do, just with better makeup and outfits this time).

Vali and Narfi would obviously be twins in this scenario

It would be more of a trick to convince Sigyn to leave one of the boys with Loki

Honestly, it might be some bit of trickery on his part to not be fully separated from his children

Thor is Chessy is this scenario

Either Jane or Val is Martin

Sigyn would have to be the one moving on with a new fiancé, I can't see Loki letting any of this go

Theoric would then be Meredith

I now entreat you all to imagine Alexander Skarsgard delivering some of those lines

Of course, if we want to say Loki has the fiancé, the obvious choice is Amora as Meredith
