Currently working on my version of the carousel trend late as always, hehe
I was thinking including their Marvel counterparts too. Including MCU, the old Loki and Sigyn and a Marvel Rivals version :D maybe even a Lady Loki, nothing too much complicated tho just some transition between versions :)
Hail Loki!
Hi, i hope you're doing well! I wanted to ask for advice. I used to work with loki back when i first started my practice in 2023, they were actually the first deity i ever reached out to, but after a lot of bad stuff happened for me and my family in 2024 i stopped working with all of my deities and practicing witchcraft for a while and i still haven't tried reconnecting with loki yet even though i have with everyone else (i blamed loki especially at the time), but I've been wanting to for a while now, i also have reason to believe he's an important part of something I've been trying to accomplish. I wanted to know if you have any advice on how i should go about this
Thank you for reading, i hope the week ahead treats you kindly
Hello! Thank you for your question! I think Someone has been wanting to spend some more time with me, as well, so this was a solid hint lol.
Anyway, I've also been through some shit that I blamed Loki for and it put a strain on our relationship, but we were able to work through it and move on. From my own experience, I think one of the best ways to check in and catch up with a deity is to sit for a "meal." It could be a literal meal, but for me it's usually more like meeting a friend at a coffee shop. I'll set out a drink for myself and whoever I'm offering to, and make it clear I'd like to chat/they're invited into my space. I typically have my journal and some sort of divinatory tool to help with communication and remembering the messages that come from the conversation. Most of my conversations with Loki are through intuitive writing, but whatever works for you is good so long as you're communicating! The main thing is being a hospitable host and setting aside this time to be with one another.
Since you are inviting someone you have history into your home/space, it's extra nice if you can offer something you know they like. If there's anything in particularly you know they liked being offered when you were working together, I would go with that. (When I have some handy my go-to beverage to offer Loki is strong chai tea with an absurd amount of sugar. Also worth noting that in a pinch, even clean drinking water will do. It's a valuable resource nowadays so offering it to any deity is no small gesture.)
I would also make sure your intentions with this time are clear. Maybe have some specific questions/points to address, particularly if you're communicating through tarot or another sortilege system. In this case, I'd look for spreads that relate to reconnection and/or determining work a deity is calling you towards. In regards to both, I'd recommend this spread. (Let me know if the link is screwy and I'll send it to you in a DM.) It's something I've used multiple times when reaching out to deities and it's been super helpful. You might want to adjust the meanings of certain positions in the spread since you already have history with Loki, but as far as getting the vibe and figuring out if there's specific work they're looking to help you with, I think this spread would be a particularly useful place to start. Even if you can intuit messages without tarot, etc., it might still help to use it for some extra clarity around the situation. All that said, use whatever spread or tools feel most relevant to your practice and needs.
I hope this is in any way useful to you, and that you and Loki are able to reconnect in a meaningful way. It may take a little time to get back to where you were (as is the case in any relationship), but as long as you both want to reconnect then I have faith that you'll be able to. :)

I didn't get kicked out of the chat, yay!
I'm so glad that I didn't kill the Hadestown Discord's analysis chat, because someone mentioned that this is the most activity it's seen in a few years and my stuff is pretty interesting to read.
Here's one of my comments in the Discord that has been honestly been gelling in my head for a while, but it surged back to the front after I found out about EPIC: The Musical and then Hadestown.
Obligatory reminder of how Loki, infamous Norse trickster, is constantly bragging to me about how "I'M IN MARVEL, GIRL," and he's gonna help me the fuck out with my art career, because it's not like anyone ELSE has bothered to help me, and he's everyone's last resort.
I haven't really updated about that bit in a while, but I've been working on the next chapter of my Deadpool and Wolverine fanfiction, and the spirits are constantly assuring me that "LOKI'S GOT YOU, HONEY," and they've recently been saying, "YOU'RE REALLY, REALLY CLOSE TO LOKI'S BIG PROJECT, KEEP GOING WITH YOUR STUFF."
As for my comment:
--
Hellenists and other pagans in real life versus "fandoms of modern mythology retellings" tend to be pretty separated from each other, because so many of them are minority religions now and laypeople mistakenly think that those religions are DEAD. I think that's a damn shame because so many pagan gods specifically deal with art. Plus the gods in general LOVE IT when their followers do art as devotional works/offerings, or if you find something that reminds you of them.
Like Hadestown, the extremely popular Broadway musical based on Orpheus and Eurydice, lol.
I wanted to practice a little again (even tho the background was fairly treated simple, was a bit overwhelming for my standards, I usually avoid drawing backgrounds) but I saw the photo of Mr. Hiddleston and was compelled to draw it (including a Loki version :D) of him pointing at Mount Vesuvius.
The ruins of Pompeii is definetly in my bucket list of places to visit.
Y'all should watch the Documentary on Pompeii, any ancient history documentaries in general, it is one of my favourite past times watching those tbh.
I always stop and tune in whenever Terra X comes (which is I suppose our version of National Geographic)
I was blessed with a little spider:D
