in my opinion, all Tumblr users are masterminds.
Daji is such a misunderstood character; the relationship of dependence on Riga, while simultaneously hating and loving him, is so interesting to explore.
Poor girl, forced to govern a country in pieces while watching her best friend (even though I consider a trifecta a throuple...) become a joke as he lost himself.
I love the parallel
Daji - nezha
Riga- rin
But kitay fits more as daji, you see, both saw people they loved self-destruct for power/gods and couldn't help them because their love for them prevented it, both died respectively with the people they loved most and their best friends, even if they had tried to destroy themselves before that.
imagening making & owning a doll of someone you know/a tumblr mutual
creating a small doll that looks like them/represents them. the power. the amount you count occupy their mind or tease them or flirt with them or be wholesome, the endless possibilities. im suprised dolls on tumblr havent already done such to each other/their mutuals. though i suppose there is the possibility of it being creepy or that some might know each other irl but still im suprised i havent seen such yet.
some of my thoughts on the kryze sisters
(I think their age gap is 10 or so)
(Firstly, my headcanon is that Satine Kryze was a pretty failed parent haha)
(With the ruined 1st one’s experience so the second one (yes I meant Korkie) is properly well raised(sorry)
I think, for Satine, after their parents died Bo was more of a “family member by blood” and responsibility than someone she truly loved from the heart. Satine’s concern for her often came from duty and seniority, not from an effort to genuinely understand her. She never cared about Bo’s feelings toward the changes in their lives—the loss of their parents, the shift in political power, or Satine’s absence due to her responsibilities. Instead, she filled the void with education and moral instruction, which only made Bo grow to resent her more.
For Bo, her feelings toward Satine were shaped more by dependence than by love; in fact, love might never have been there at all. Yet she still relied on her—hating her, resenting her, looking down on her, even wanting to kill her. Every emotion she had revolved around Satine. Her obsession wasn’t simply the possessiveness of “hating the moon for shining on all but not me only,” but rather a contradictory dependence. That’s how I interpret the sisters.
Their split was the result of some sort of a structural conflict: differences in political choices and in memory. Satine, being older, remembered the devastation of war; Bo, younger, remembered only the promised glory of their father’s traditions. On top of that, their shift in roles created an unbridgeable distance—what was once a bond of equals became something oppressive, a “quasi-maternal” relationship. This led to an irreconcilable tension: one thinking, “I don’t want to push you, but why won’t you listen?😰” and the other thinking, “You’re not mother who gave you the right to control me?😡”

Be attractive, mean & self centered. It doesn't sound morally good but you will win in life. Good people only tend to suffer. Because this materialistic world doesn't reward the good people.
My "little throughs" about Staggy, 'cause I can't keep quiet about it 😵💫
I love the dynamic between Stanley and Peggy. I like their relationship in both the movie and the animated series. And I want to express my gratitude to Amy Yasbeck, because if it weren't for her, I don't know if I would have developed as much affection for this character as I do now.
Yes, there are a lot of different peyings in The Mask fandom, but when I first rewatched the movie after a long time, it was Amy Yasbeck's character, Peggy Brandt, and her dynamic with Jim Carrey's as Stanley Ipkiss that really caught my attention. I know it's probably because I have a soft spot for almost everyone with red hair, but there's more to it than that.
"But what about Tina?" you might ask. I'll admit that when I first watched the show, I didn't particularly like her, as strange and silly as it may sound. After all, what's so interesting about a sexy blonde singing in a club and shaking her booty in front of people? It wasn't until much later that I developed some sort of affection for her, but my feelings towards her remain neutral. She's a kind and lovely person, but she just doesn't fit my type, sorry.
The story of Stanley and Tina is really touching and heartwarming. Of course, it's a beautiful sight, but it's not quite the same for me.
I like the Staggy (Stanley/Peggy) dynamic precisely because of their ambiguity. They go through a long enough journey of acceptance and understanding of each other, if we cover the animated series branch, and subsequently turn from unpleasant acquaintances into actual best friends.
If it weren't for Stanley, Peggy wouldn't have done all the self-reflection she's done, because it was Ipkiss who helped her reevaluate some of her motivations and actions. Stanley simply prevented her ego from ballooning to narcissistic proportions, for which we can certainly thank him. Yes, she can be quite selfish sometimes, but I think it's more of a childish selfishness, and like any child, she often acts before thinking about the consequences.
Stanley also changes in Peggy's company, although it's not noticeable. Most of the time, he also does things with immature haste, but he sometimes thinks about what might happen, unlike Brandt.
I know that my argument about Peggy's influence on Stanley isn't very convincing, but it's more about the fact that he doesn't need to adopt any of her habits to show how similar they are in certain aspects.
As an example, I will give you a situation from the episode "Boogie-woogie with a man", where Stanley inadvertently signed a contract with the Devil himself. I have already written something about this series in this post.
Peggy falls for the same trick as Ipkiss, seeing a great opportunity to fulfill all her innermost dreams by signing a seemingly simple piece of paper. They're both naive and imprudent, but in this episode, Stanley, for better or for worse, decides to protect the reporter from her own foolishness, although it doesn't change the fact that they're cut from the same cloth.
Another example comes from The Mask's Wikipedia, where it states that „The Mask does get along well with Peggy due to their similar personalities and does forgive her for what she did easily unlike Stanley. Stanley does eventually forgive her overtime and asks for her help in any situations he's in.“
One of the advantages of a peyring like Staggy is that both parties can dominate each other depending on the situation. Stanley dominates Peggy when she's obsessed with an idea for her newspaper, and Peggy dominates Mask when he goes overboard and acts like a true clown, unable to think rationally (think of "When Pigs Ruled the World" in Season 3, Episode 8).
It may seem that only Stanley shows concern for "someone"miss Brandt", pulling her out of various mishaps, but this is not the case. The episode "Little Big Mask" clearly shows us that Peggy is also capable of caring for someone dear to her, if that person truly needs it.
Even in episodes where Brandt doesn't play a significant role, she always appears at the epicenter of events involving Stanley, at the right time and in the right place. And even when it's not related to her reporting. At least even in the episodes "Channel Surfing" (season 2, episode 6) or "(The Angels Want to Wear My) Green Mask"(season 2, episode 26, flashes in the very beginning in the Amelia Chronos's hologram with Milo in her arms). And at the beginning of the third season, Brandt is with Stanley all the time, which shows how close she has become with this guy and how she values him.
– These were my main thoughts about Staggy, which I've been thinking about for a long time, and I'm tired of having these thoughts in my head. So if I notice anything else interesting, I'll try to write about it.
Thank you all for watching, and see you soon!!!
