I am so, so excited to announce that I'm offering a workshop on queer nature magic as part of Spiral Convergence 2025! Come join us for a week and a half of community, magic, and resistance, all 100% online!
If you aren't familiar with Spiral Convergence, it's a virtual witch camp hosted by Spiralheart Reclaiming. The organizers do a great job of prioritizing accessibility and of welcoming those who can't attend in-person witch camps. The theme for this year is Flowers of Resistance: "With fear and anger, with sorrow and joy, we build our bridges of courage."
In my workshop, Rooting Down with Queer Nature Magic, we will be connecting with this theme by exploring animist witchcraft through a queer lens. We will talk about the inherent queerness of the natural world and about queer identity as something both natural and sacred. We will discuss plant and animal allies for queer and trans witches, with a focus on resistance and resilience.

I hate kids who act up in class. There's two or three kids in my period 3 course who seem to go out of their way to make our teacher's life hell. I hate them for it. Sometimes I just wanna see them sent to the office, because i'd probably end wanting to wring their necks otherwise. School is not a place for chatting and being disrespectful. School is for learning. Stop disrespecting the kind staff whose jobs require them to teach you!
This is something i've almost always felt. If kids joke around in class (but do it fairly respectfully), I don't mind much. But when they're openly dismissive and disrespectful, it makes me want to just see them punished. This is why i'd make a horrible teacher, by the way. I just bet i'd end up yelling at the students, thereby getting myself in trouble with the school board. Because gods, I hate disrespectful students. Hate them, hate them, hate them!
