Meanwhile, in FranceâŚ
I noticed these ads in different locations while going to malls, basically asking for a period emoji!! Well, uhm⌠thatâs interesting! x)âđť
As Iâve seen a few posts on this platform talking about the representation of menses in media, I thought this might perhaps interest Tumblr?
Serious discourse time - Radfems, give me all your best arguments why "menstruator" is bad, properly articulated.
just found out that throughout history, people believed menstrual blood could do everything from destroy crops to make a dog instantly lose its mind. INSTANTLY i say! female empowerment amiright??

It's great when ur already dysphoric cause ur on ur period, then you unwrap the pad and see this:
THIS
WHY
Trans/Nonbinary/Genderfluid Science PSA
So, uh, I might know someone who needs to hear this. Or they might not. Anyway, uh, whether they do or donât, I doubt theyâll see this, and Iâm anxious about telling them directly, but, anyway, just in case they need it and they do see it, and for everyone else out there that needs to hear this, here goes:
Your period does not make you less of a male/enby etc. Youâve got a waterfall of blood pouring from you for a week? Thatâs hecking metal dude. Blood is super edgy and scientifically fascinating. Youâre craving things and hungry all the time? You are a force of nature that devours any and all in your path. Youâre cranky and emotional? You are an ambiguous tempestuous entity of rage and sorrow, emotions which are universal to males, females, nonbinary, and intersex individuals.
Your period doesnât make you a woman. It makes you a primordial god, risen from their/his slumber in a pool of his/their own blood, ready to unleash your terrible and glorious power upon the world. And for trans females? As a feral life scientist, I can tell you that the vast majority of female organisms donât menstruate. Actually, I think only humans are capable of menstruation? I might be wrong, there might be others, but the point is, you are still a woman, And not every cis woman gets her period either! Women in menopause or taking certain medications or who had ovariohysterectomies donât menstruate. Does that mean theyâre not women? Of course not! Bodies and their functions are weird, gross, and fascinating, but they donât have to define you
You are all so valid and I love you so much. <3
