The whole this "misandry only harms men's feelings" is rooted in the conservative idea that men (unlike women) should not have a right to be fragile and sensitive.

I think that a lot of people donât understand what feminism is for. And that masculism exist.
Basically, feminism is about women and women problems only. While masculism is about men and their problems.
Both fight against gender stereotypes and for gender equality, but kinda different: like heart and lungs. Both work to keep your body alive, but have different way and sphere of working. Means that feminism is fighting with all this shit for girls and masculism is fighting with all this shit for boys.
Also not every feminist is masculist â or, perhaps, I should call it pro-masculist, like feminists prefer that guys who support feminism are called pro-feminists â even if these two movements coexist.
Why exactly I decided to post it here? Welp, because I saw a good post about harmful gender stereotypes that affect guys and while reading it I was nodding and thinking âwow, Itâs nice to know that masculists and pro-masculists are trying to teach peopleâ. And then it ended with âtHaT wHaT fEmInIsTs ShOuLd FiGhT wItH tOoâ. And I kinda stopped and flew into space here, because it was tagged as feminism, but itâs not. My dears, itâs masculism. You know? That thing that fights against gender stereotypes and other shit that is harmful for guys?? And it wasnât the first time when people are blaming feminists for not solving guysâ problems. Like, hello? Youâre not gonna attack members of BLM movement because their movement isnât solving ecology problems? I mean⌠I hope youâre notâŚ
And itâs NOT excluding men, no. Men can be pro-femisists just like women can be pro-masculists, but even then feminism is about womenâs problems and masculism is about menâs problems. Pro-feminists are informing about female problems and fighting for women rights and against misogyny, pro-masculists are informing about male problems and fighting against misandry. Not because âguys are evil and gals are goodâ, but because subjects of these movements are different.
Itâs good that guys are supporting gals with fighting for our rights and learning about our problems and itâs good that gals are learning same things about guys! Donât get me wrong. But masculism and feminism are two different movements even if their basics are the same: fighting gender stereotypes, toxic feminity or masculinity and that shit about âreal woman/man is/should/etcâ. Itâs just different parts of this fight.
Conclusion! Feminism is about WOMEN and women only(and I include people with uterus)! Guys can be pro-feminists but feminism still isnât about them. And masculism exist! And gender stereotypes can shit themselves and die a horrible death. Use this knowledge wisely âď¸
