South Park sold Out So Badly That It Even Sells Pet Items
Yep, you read that right and that is Towelie on an official pet bowl, a collar with Cartman prints and the last one is a leash and collar combo with the main four boys, though it's a little harder to see, since they are all monochrome. There are various pet items for sale on the official South Park web page https://www.southparkshop.com/collections/pet-collection. I am surprised that not more people talk about this.
Maybe the writers didn't come up with this idea, but they certainly approved of it, given how much creative control they have.
Not to mention that the bowl costs over forty dollars while the collar and leash cost each over thirty dollars and even if the quality is worth the price, though I am skeptical about it, cheaper pet items to be good enough for pets too. Same goes for their other pet products. They cost more than average pet products, but they're certainly not amazing.
I mean no offense on people who want South Park pet products. They are entitled to their opinions, but there's no need to add the show's logo to your pet, especially since South Park has little to do with pets and you have countless other options. There are countless pet products on the market that are cheap, offer special functionalities or are genuinely visually creative, without relying on a popular IP.
I would make a joke about it, but the situation is ridiculous enough on its own. Old South Park would've absolutely satirized something like this in the past, now they are part of the same over exposed and overly marketed franchises, but even most overly corporate franchises don't sell pet items, because very few people would buy a pet item just because it has a character they like.
Sure, this doesn't affect the quality of the main show, though I think that went downhill too, but South Park as an IP really sold out, given that now they even sell pet items with their prints just to make a quick buck.
