obscuregenic: a plural origin that feels strong, stable, and prominent when left undefined, but becomes distorted, unstable, non-existent, and/or changing when attempting to define it.
Systems who are bodily "old" - be it senior citizens, or simply above 18, 25, 30, or whatever this site thinks is "too old" - deserve support.
Systems donât just stop having problems and become selves-sufficient past a certain bodily age. Like singlets and younger-bodied systems, they still need friends, help, and a supportive, safe space.
And people donât turn into predators the moment theyâre 18, 21, 25, 30, or whatever arbitrary age you assign âoldâ to. Thatâs not how it works. Predatory behavior is about abuse, about power. Not age. A lot of older-bodied systems are good people.
.
Systems who are bodily young - be it under 25, 21, or 18 - deserve respect.
Just because a system is in a young body, doesnât mean they donât know anything. They may have less experience or knowledge, true, but they are still worth listening to. Someoneâs lack of know-how doesnât make them less valuable.
And you know, some young-bodied systems are knowledgeable. They want to learn, research, and listen to othersâ experiences, they are respectful. Not all of them are misinformed exclusionists/sysmeds who are stubborn and harass/abuse people in the community. That should be appreciated.

This post and this blog are inclusive of ALL systems, including non-traumagenic, non-disordered, non-diagnosed, and self-diagnosed systems.

synqueer flag! (standard, six stripes w/o symbol, and five stripes w/treblesand)
pretty much since we realized that weâre a system weâve struggled with the idea of âcollective identityâ; the closest weâve gotten is with systemgender, which explicitly defines itself as a sum total of otherwise distinct identities, but no corresponding generalized term exists (or at least we havenât been able to find one).
so: synqueer!Â
the sum/combination of all queer identities a plural collectively experience(s).Â
open to all plurals on all places of the continuum; our personal reasons for coining this term aside, you donât have to be fully differentiated/multiple to use it!
intentionally open; can include gender, orientation, and/or any other queer identities
colors inspired/combined from these plural and queer flags
the prefix âsynâ means âtogetherâ (and forms part of the word symphony, which we thought was a nice connection to the treblesand); âqueerâ is self-explanatory
(pluriqueer, multiqueer, and systemqueer are all already ids so we had to pick an unrelated suffix dfjjgsdl)
a few more alternative versions under the cut
đĽ Semi-(System/Plural/Multiple) :: A person who feels like they are âon the cuspâ between being multiple and singlet, or feel like theyâre only half-multiple/half-singlet/something similar. This is primarily for median/osdd systems that feel like theyâre closer to being a singlet than multiple (or vise versa, being a multiple system closer to being a singlet), or people who have trouble distinguishing between being multiple and being a singlet due to other disorders/disabilities, but everyone is who thinks it would apply to them can use it.
â Disclaimer :: This definition of semi-multiple was coined by me, but Iâm definitely not the first to use semi-multiple! This is also just a term to describe my particular experience with being a disordered multiple system, and other people are not obligated to use it. This is just how I define my experience. This term also has no flag (because I canât think of anything) but if anyone wants to make one they can.

Plural vampire culture is feeling sick for hours after you have to force the body to eat anything but also being constantly thirsty.

đNEW SYSTEM TERMSđ
[Updated + Reuploaded]
-You can in general use the term "Love-" or "Amoro-" and finish it with an already existing system term to relate it to love. -If you do, please do not make it exclude any form of love, this term is about all forms of love, including abusive and delusional love, as its about the feeling and not the healthiness of the feeling nor who or what its targeted towards.
Love-System/AmoroSystem:
a system that may change its behaviour depending if the alter/host/system is in love or in a relationship.
Love-Stagnant/AmoroStagnant:
when a system becomes more quieter when the system or host is in love or in a relationship.
Love-Stuck/AmoroStuck:
when an alter is stuck fronting because they are in love or in a relationship.
Love-Sticky/AmoroSticky:
when an alter keeps gravitating towards the front, they can leave it but not for long due to the alter being in love or in a relationship.
Lovetroject/Amoroject:
An alter that formed due to an alter/host/system's love or yearning for a person, character or even object/concept and is based on that.
Lovegenic/Amorogenic:
A system that formed due to the core's love or yearning for a person, character or even object/concept.
-Anyone who is plural/multiple/a system who this applies to can identify as these terms. -These terms are made to help others understand their system's functionality and pinpoint it, if you do not find it useful on yourself, do not shame it, as its not ment for you to begin with. -Please do not comment if you simply wish to make fun of these terms or shame/harrass/mock OP. -Please do not screenshot or share this for the purpose of mockery or harrassment.
A Small Plural Resource Dump
Hello friends! While this isnât the upcoming extremely long informational post weâre working on (though it will still be posted soon), we decided to throw together a few off-Tumblr resources we find interesting, in the hopes some of you will too <3
lb_leeâs QuickâNâDirty Plural History- A four part series of articles on plural community history, from the 1800s to present day. Focuses a lot on community drama, and does contain some discussion of serious subject matter (so read at your own risk), but given how difficult plural history resources can be to find, and the extensive list of sources and further reading links, this is definitely a very neat resource.
Many Voices Archive- We found out about this through itâs mention in the above articles, and while itâs rather focused on trauma and dissociation (and this, also discusses serious subject matter), it has 23 years (1989-2012) of issues completely free in PDF form, and is a very good look into pre-social media (disordered) plural history.
The Plural Association- Weâre honestly surprised we havenât seen much mention of them on plural Tumblr. TPA is a registered nonprofit run by plurals, for plurals, and openly inclusive of all origins. Theyâve been around for just over a year and already have a large collection of resources, and weâre extremely excited to see where they go from here. Please consider following their social media, donating, volunteering (though theyâre only looking for plurals who are BIPOC, at the moment), or attending future (virtual) events. They do great work and will hopefully bring a lot of visibility to the community.
