i made a skirt.
Materials used were black satin, purple ribbon, and a glorious black lace. I hand stitched the trim on and did the rest by machine.
here is a shot i managed to take of the skirt in motion, this was attempt number 23 or so.
i definitly feel as though this skirt captures my witch, goth, and emo style, and it is quite comfortable for a 18th century pattern that I adapted.
All in all, i am quite proud of myself.
I was in my sewing room this afternoon when there was a tap tap tap on the window. Can you come give me a hand love. Now I never know exactly what I will be helping with when he asks me this question but I'm happy to help. The quilt is not going well so a break might be good. The helping hand I gave was clamped onto the end of the cable Hubby was taping up. It carries the power to the indicator on his Cortina restoration. He didn't tell me that he was using special Cortina tape which is just the perfect colour but for some reason had no sticky so Hubby was applying glue and winding the tape onto the cable. It wasn't until he was done and I was trying to wipe the glue off my fingers that he told me it was super glue and wouldn't come off in a hurry! Gotta love that guy!

The year kicked off with a great catch up on all the doings over the Christmas New Year break, and our AGM. Roles will remain ISQ, and there are decisions yet to be made regarding our 2019 Challenge and our 2020 exhibition.
