Been mostly MIA from projects and such for the last year or so. Got the burnout real bad, closed my Etsy, then my husband cheated on me lol. Anyway my new bf invited me to be his plus one to a buddy's wedding at the end of August. I gained some weight and don't have bras that fit so I decided to make myself a Lil floral corset top. Okay so this needs and explanation on why the hell I found this so hilarious.
Imagine having such an out of mind and body experience with SOAP that you had to go out of the bath; before you get dressed and made presentable. In the most REPRESSED era in the last 100 something years! And, in your little robe and still wet, you announce to aunt Ethel how amazing your SOAP was.
Victorian ads are the best, no notes, I will not hear anything different, I am dying. Whats worse is that I was just looking for embroidery patterns... I found at least three more like this.. Lets see if I can hold back enough not to make another one of these.
Insertion lace on my latest sewing project
This blouse was entirely stitched by hand (it was my evening couch project for almost two months) and made from leftover linen pieces from other projects. The instrument lace became a fashion choice, but also a practical way to join the update and lower sleeve so I could cut them from separate pieces since I lacked scraps long enough to cut a whole sleeve.
