"...I like how you do it. Plus Ava chatters too much." Valentina admits as Isabel snorts with a laugh. Valentina sighs as Isabel runs her fingers through her hair, immediately noticing that they aren't as weathered or calloused what she's used to. Nonetheless, it's the ensuing silence is comforting. That's why she enjoyed Isabel doing her hair when it was longer, she's got the girl's undivided quiet attention.

"And done, I hope you like it." Isabel says a few minutes later with pride on her voice. Valentina rises, before bending down to pick up Isabel's shoes to hand them off. 

Valentina watches with an amused curiosity as Isabel plops backwards onto the bed before shoving the shoes on. Some things really will never change...
