17. What is something you recently felt proud of in your writing?

i'm actually getting pretty good at descriptions! and like, normal descriptions, too; not the sort of flowery poetic style i use when i'm writing low-to-no dialogue fic.

(next thing for me to work on is throwing out thoughts sentences; but that's honestly a leftover from playwriting, where i prefer to communicate feelings in stage directions so the director and actors can interpret them into movement. lol.)

31. What fic meant the most to you to write?

spinning off the other answer i gave for this question a little bit: because i've been writing fic for tiny fandoms recently it's been very meaningful to write fic for characters who aren't mine and having the people whose characters they ARE say "hey this rips" so. that, i guess.

32. A character you enjoy making suffer.

You’re welcome! The presence of exotic plant species doesn’t kill specialist native pollinators; the lack of native plant species kills off specialist native pollinators. Invasives only need to be removed because they outcompete plants of higher value to the ecosystem.

If you’re in North America (just guessing based on tumblr demographics) dandelions have been here for 400+ years. At this point their presence is primarily an aesthetic concern for people who grow turf grass monocultures; they love open, sunny, newly disturbed sites, but get shaded/crowded out in more complex ecosystems with native trees and shrubs, so as far as I know, they aren’t much of a threat. Maybe a concern for people trying to maintain a wildflower meadow? I’m not sure.

So, I wrote this crossover awhile back, wherein postcanon Jacobi signs up with the Magnus Institute and promptly starts hooking up with Tim.

Super silly fluffy Fascination rewrite, now with Garashir! :3 Basically, I made a Fascination edit (also shown below) and then I couldn’t stop thinking about it, haha! So far in my fic, Garak has inserted himself into the events of the episode by running off to find Julian after Morn came into his shop and tried to kiss him out of nowhere. Then the zanthi fever hits both of them so instead of investigating, Garak and Julian go and make out in the infirmary, and decide they should get married. Lwaxana and Odo show up, and Lwaxana is like helllll yeeeeeah let’s do this it’s wedding time and Odo is like EXASPERATED SIGH. And that’s all I’ve got so far. No idea how it will end. Suggestions welcome! XD

this is so fucking long but this has been the intended summary for the fic where my oc + my friend's oc go wildly meddle in the other's love life bc theyre both convinced their bestie is dating the worst man alive and want to make him at least Somewhat less shitty (they are both correct for this btw). no longer canon compliant bc i waited too long and b7 finished but its fine the concept is still so funny i wanna finish this eventually. i usually never do summaries until the fic is complete but this one came outta nowhere so here it is

trying to do a Just Dialogue moment but i do really like this bit of the r/t fic where trey's sister is like, dude idk what to get your boyfriend for xmas. and trey is like (voice cracking) my WHAT and shes like. u kno the guy you cohabitate with and talk to on the phone all the time when hes out and get the dopiest look on your face when you talk about? that guy? and trey is like /I WHAT/

i like banter and i think trey having a difficult little sister is really funny wwwww another fic i really wanna finish bc i have hte first like...... half? third? written already so like. its feasible. u kno how it is

going back in time to teenexo. i had a sym/sol roleswap fully planned and plotted and even wrote a decent chunk of it before realizing i dont like dys/sym/sol ot3 enough to write a full longfic for them unfortunately GLKHDSLGHSDLKGHDSG i love sym so much but in an ot3 situation i gotta focus on dys or at least sol but sym was the only one htat made sense as the pov character here so i just gave up and died. heres a snippet tho

eventually i will go back to the davey/theo sort-of hadestown au i started writing a couple years ago. it's really good and i'm a big fan of it. i think i'll find it easier to finish once we've crossed a certain plot point in ftl off the list.

oh, the fic summary? uh. you know all my fic summaries are quotes from the fic itself. well. i guess it's that andreyes finally makes it to the hotel only to find theo is already gone, having left for the afterworld thinking andreyes has passed on. so andreyes decides to follow them.
