ooooh okay okay this is a hard one there are too many options. i'm torn in so many directions b/c S. or Brethren or After the Revolution or W&G or the High King's Golden Tongue. and they are all soooooooo good. but....i'm gonna go with Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow by Christina Henry i think? It's about the grandson of Brom, who starts investigating the murders of children in sleepy hollow. it's not particularly scary but it does have some spooky moments and it is extremely atmospheric. I felt like I could smell the fallen leaves and feel a crisp autumn breeze every time i opened the cover. the MC is also trans, and i've read other reviews by people who are exasperated by often he keeps repeating that he's a boy but like. if you're trans you know that's just How It Is lmao, especially some flavor of transmasc. it felt real and grounded in a narrative thats otherwise a bit dreamlike.

the only servers im in right now are for zines, and then like. two specific ships. i am not active in any of these b/c on top of not being fit for server management i'm also just not generally fit for being a member. too antisocial/anxious

no but really there's not much going on right now. i'm like a third of the way through my aural rehabilitation class (with an A, i might add), and work has been mostly smooth. I've even written a little bit, and went out for dinner with an internet friend for the first time! but for the most part I really cannot make any plans or do anything until this stupid fucking move is over. once it is i'll be able to dedicate more time to school stuff (have to submit a petition to reconsider my aid status), and plan smthn for my birthday (i'm thinking a mariners game) on top of just like little everyday things that i'm not keeping up with right this second.

hmmmm....I know I hated Great Expectations and The Old Man and the Sea. I remember enjoying The Crucible though, b/c I did a group project where we made it into a soap opera, and The Poisonwood Bible? I think? idr why I liked it though. Oh, and Ender's Game! I think that might have been in middle school.
