The Lucien who realised exactly what his mate needed with one glance?

The Lucien who was the only one to suggest bringing a healer to check on his depressed mate?

The Lucien who was the only one to listen to his mate and treat her like a person?

The Lucien who went on a quest just because his mate had a dream?

The Lucien who gave his mate space and time when she wasn't ready to accept her fae life or the mating bond?

The Lucien who marvelled at Nesta's powers instead of seeing her as a weapon?

Cassian is the one Nesta needed.

The neanderthal who saw his emaciated mate and the first thing he noticed were her boobs?

The neanderthal who said 'eat this or starve' when his depressed mate didn't like his food?

The neanderthal who laughed at his mate after she climbed up the stairs with bruises on her face?

The neanderthal who had sex with his mate right after she was sexually assaulted by an ancient creature?

The neanderthal who rejoiced at how happy his brother will be at his mate's misery?

The neanderthal who forced his mate on a dangerous hike when she was suicidal?

Thinking about how if Nesta was the heroine instead of Feyre, her dynamics with characters could have been very different and she could have been living that fairytale romances she reads about.

Nesta would have been the perfect Beauty and the Beast archetype and it would have been so interesting to see what she would have done given she was so strong willed to see through glamour. Plus she’s intelligent and curious, which could have led to more world building exploration.

If Nesta was the leading lady, I would have loved to see how she would have handled Amarantha and early Rhysand. The riddle would probably been simple for her.

If Rhysand x Nesta was a thing, he’d have a harder time manipulating her and it’d truly be an enemies to possibly lovers.

Tamlin x Nesta would have been so interesting. Lucien x Nesta would have been fun to watch them banter. I still think SJM was wrong to think they’d tear each other apart. Maybe Eris x Nesta could have gonna better. Maybe Cassian wouldn’t have been so volatile to Nesta since the Feyre bias wouldn’t be involved. Azriel x Nesta should just be a thing. Period. 😂

Literally so much potential.

Nesta is such an interesting character and it’s be interesting to see how things would be different if Feyre’s bias against her wasn’t leading the interactions most characters have with her. It would have been interesting to see how she handled her childhood trauma in a different context.

A girl can dream…

This is Lucien Vanserra we are talking about!!

The same Lucien that was raised by Beron, Raised by Eris & the rest of his brothers…the same Lucien that lived with Tamlin, the same Lucien who endured many forms of abuse. The same Lucien that has spent his entire life handling difficult people & situations both by being a son of The Autumn court & being Tamlin’s emissary! The same Lucien that has been nothing but kind & respectful of Elain, the same Lucien that hasn’t forced a mate bond onto Elain…like Cassian.

Because I fear the people’s desires do not match the number of fics we have, and I might… want to help with that 👀✍️

Then I want a moment where the IC are hating on Lucien for ignoring Feyre's negative emotional state in ACOMAF, to which Lucien informs them that Nesta is in an even worse emotional state in HOFAS and all of them, including her mate, are blissfully ignorant to it. The IC can then start explaining how they are most certainly not Tamlin 2.0 because Nesta deserves her mistreatment because, you know, she just saved all worlds from the threat of the Asteri and she's lucky they didn't execute her for such a thing.

When I think of LucNes, I think of sunlight spilling through smoke — fox and wolf, warmth and defiance. It’s healing that isn’t pretty, but patient, hard-won, and worth it.

I think of pretty, cathartic dances and late-night arguments that turn into confessions. Of laughter breaking through grief, of hands reaching even when pride says not to. Of two people learning that love isn’t saving each other; It’s staying.
