🔮 - What do you hope to see from Cassian in ACOTAR 6?

Ugh I am FIENDING for more Cassian (and Nessian) in ACOTAR 6 but I have some conditions. I want to see some relationship healing for Nesta and Cassian where he stands up to the IC on her behalf. Or even admits to being wrong about not doing so before. I really hope to see some more buddy-buddy behavior between him and Azriel again. Perhaps some relationship shenanigans as Cassian teases Azriel about Gwyn. Also….don’t hate me….but I am a big fan of the pregnancy trope and I think it would be sooo fun to see Cassian and Nesta as parents, working through some of their own parental traumas together as they have a baby. Plot wise, Cassian is going to be Nesta’s biggest supporter as she goes on her Dusk journey I just know it.

😴 - What's a dream project you'd love to create about Cassian?

Okay this has been cooking in the recesses of my mind but I haven’t dared written it down yet. But I have a Nessriel pirate-esque fic where Cassian and Azriel are pirate captains of rival ships. They’re not enemies. They’re not lovers. They’re a secret third thing that Nesta gets involved in as she’s running away from her arranged marriage?….accidentally gets herself stranded in the middle of during a bad passenger voyage? Basically, she gets caught in their situationship and kind of falls in love with both while hating herself while maybe pitting them against one another too. That’s as far as I’ve gotten but I wanna make it a longfic and I want to really lean into the salty, dirty forbidden-ness of it all. I don’t know if that’s a dream of all time but it is certainly a dream right now haha.

Honestly I don’t have a lot of hope 🚬😔 I would love for him to start to deconstruct some of the dysfunctional patterns of the IC’s family system. I would like for him to hear Nesta out when she recognizes unhealthy dynamics, and really consider her point of view.

Guys.....Nesta is canonically a Nessriel. She ships Azriel with herself and Cassian before anyone else.

However, she also canonically finds Gwyn gorgeous, and whereas if Azriel got with Elain all that's off the table, a foursome with Gwyn would be the ultimate birthday treat. So in the name of reaching her own ends, Gwynriel is much more convenient for her.
