tfa blitzwing

likely bc one of the personalities became obsessed (probably random) and the other two got pulled into it

and eventually embraced it, but not without a fight

hothead was just pissed about it (of course), and icy was disgusted at first

like really?? he's already a freak and now he's into a HUMAN... primus help him

blitzwing as a whole is guarded and cold, even after its official between the two of you, he is standoffish and blunt

he can't afford to get hurt again, letting you get close was already dangerous enough. if he loses you, he might lose it for real this time

random is the easiest to get along with, he's more open (obnoxiously so) than the other 2

and again, probably the one who started all of this.

probably kidnapped you (a few times)

but you matched his freak and suddenly he's making googoo eyes at you

hothead is the next to let loose.

just scream with him, get angry with him, show him you care

he loves seeing you lose your shit, hothead thinks it's SO hot

this tiny little bug has the confidence of a mech much bigger than he, and he's drooling over it

icy is a tough egg to crack

he's methodical, he already sees every possible way this could go wrong

he knows he's cold and guarded, and he really doesn't try to (most of the time)

but letting the walls down feels so... vulnerable. it's unsafe.

but if you sit through the uncomfortable silences, the blunt observations, and the catty remarks, you'll break him down

he just wants to know you won't leave him too

probably has a human fetish but we'll address that later

and getting with a human does NOT help with the rumours on the lost light

but he couldn't give less of a fuck, he's thinking he's the luckiest mech in the whole damn universe

you have to fight him about paying for your drinks because he INSISTS it's on him. every time

swerve, you're going broke PLEASE take the money

he brings you up in every conversation. doesn't matter what it's about, he'll relate it to you somehow

he has the perfect movie for every occasion

movie nights are a very common thing with the two of you

his cooling fans will sound like a box fan because of how close you are to him

doesn't matter what point in the relationship you're in with him, you will always make him nervous

he overthinks everything, he's too emotionally aware for his own good

just tell him it's ok. make the first move, lead him through it

he'll get it eventually

it's a miracle he's putting his energy into anything but getting off this primus forsaken planet so.. good job

most of your "dates" will just be either sitting in his habsuit, or on top of the bunker

basically anywhere without the children's (miko's) prying eyes

speaking of miko, she will take any and every chance to embarrass ratchet

he knows he spends a lot of time at that damn computer, and he's really trying to manage his time to fit you in his schedule

but sometimes the only way you can spend time with him is sitting on his shoulder while he works

you're his right hand, you help him oversee missions and act as a second set of eyes

two minds are better than one, he's started saying

of course, rafael has always been a great help with his computer magic, but you catch things his tired mind tends to gloss over

and he loves you for that

and as much as he say he hates it, he deeply appreciates your concern for his well being. making sure he refuels, recharges, even just take a break every now and then

optimus has told him he's glad to see his friend look so happy after so long

he approached you when you first got on the ship, letting you know his services are available to you as well, considering being the only human on the ship may weigh on you

you kept the offer in mind, but didn't take him up on it

it started as a passing smile to each other in the halls, to chatting at the bar, and before long you were just kind of attached to him

he would never entertain getting involved with a patient, but seeing as you never saw him professionally,,,

he's a doting and attentive lover

he remembers dates, small details about you, passing comments

he stores everything subconsciously, and becomes a sort of personal calendar

"don't forget about that meeting today, dear!"

he calls you dear, love, and darling

dear is his favourite tho

despite not seeing him in a professional setting, he will never tell you not to talk to him about things

comparing him to most cybertronians, he's not much bigger than you

turns out that's just his face, don't take it personally

yall spend a lot of time shit talking your crewmates, all in good fun (most of the time)

he's mastered the perma-frown due to his injury, but he swears you might literally kill him one day by making him crack a smile

you're his favourite (and only) co-pilot, he'll teach you how everything works and lets you help him fly the WAP when he needs a break

in public, he uses your name to address you. in private? he's a secret romantic

"love", "sweatspark", "princess/prince", and "baby" are his favourites

he'll probably never fully get over the whole human/organic phobia, but you made it this far with him, and that's to be commended

he still finds all of the fluids and oils distasteful, but he can admit, they certainly help on certain occasions

there will be days he just can't stand it, and does not want to be touched.

and that's what he loves about you: you're patient. he appreciates every bit of caution and leeway you give him

as a partner? he's not too open about it all in public, he's more of a private lover

of course, once he gets more used to the whole "having a partner" thing, he gets more comfortable being romantic in public

he's a sweetheart, and a total nerd

the rest of the scavengers will often find you two giggling/cackling in a corner over your inside jokes, of which yall have many

don't climb him. he will freak out and kick you off without even thinking about it

he calls you "hun" and "babe"

he's the kind of guy who'll try anything once, and boy does he love his human

easily the most open with affection and proclaiming his love

he ALWAYS has to be near you, loves having you on his shoulder or in his hands

but be careful, he forgets your there sometimes. expect to be jostled around in his hands while he talks, he uses his hands to express himself while talking

and hold onto something when on his shoulder, he's constantly all over the place

he's gotten many a talking-to from krok for endangering you with his forgetfulness

he's the embodiment of adhd, so be patient. he will not remember things you need him to, but he will remember tiny, insignificant details about the most absurd things. it's just how he rolls

he calls you all sorts of borderline humiliating pet names and the get progressively worse

"sweatspark" , "pumpkin", and "babe" aren't too bad, but he goes further with the intent of flustering you, like "pookie", "snookums", "cutie patootie"... etc etc

when you met, of course he tried to squash you like a bug

that's just how he is

but once you cracked his shell? he won't let you out of his sight

with all of the crazy shit the scavengers get up to, he's beyond worried about your safety and well being

he always has you safely perched on his shoulder

he teaches you medical malpractice cybertronian medicine and care, though you probably shouldn't be touching energon

he could give less of a fuck what the other scavengers hear him call you

he's oddly romantic, using names like "my love", "my dear", "darling", "angel", or "my light"

it's part of why he's so upset all the time, he never wanted this. he had dreams and aspirations, he wanted to be a scientist, not a field medic. he mourns what could have been

ratchet had met orion pax in the library orion worked in. ratchet would frequently spend time researching in the library

ratchet was a history nerd, when he had free time. that's how orion and him initially began bonding, orion had the same passion for history

they used to spend hours discussing cybertronian history, philosophy and the likes. eventually, it turned more personal, and they became close friends.

ratchet is much older than optimus, and served as a sort of mentor-figure to him. he still does, optimus frequently goes to ratchet for advice

before the war, ratchet was young and spry. rather similar to jack and june.

and before his schooling? our man was a party animal

you ever seen an ambulance do a keg stand? because optimus has

he is the white woman that rescues pit bulls. the team has caught him helping injured animals before, and they just getting weirder every time

one time is was a bear, then there was the mountain lion... so on so forth

being a ninja, he's obviously very quiet. the team regularly gets jumpscared by him bc he doesn't announce himself, he's just suddenly there

blitzwing

let's start with this: my headcanon about the whole personality deal is that yes, each face is a fractured part of his original whole personality. they share one body, but each fragment has formed into completely seperate personas.

they consider themselves both one bot, and multiple.

"blitzwing" is their collective name, whereas "icy", "hothead", and "random" are their individual names.

icy being the original face holds all of the memories before the split

hothead and random don't have memories before the split, they only know what icy has told them.

generally, they are all aware of what's happening no matter who is fronting. however, in moments of extreme stress/vulnerability, the personality who is fronting sometimes takes total control, and the other 2 have no memory of what happens.

for example, hothead is the protector. if blitzwing is ever feeling extremely threatened, hothead might take total control and block out the other 2 to protect them.

random holds the most traumatic memories. memories of killing bots he knew personally during the war, of the famine that almost destroyed the deceptions, of what he had to do to survive said famine..

there's a reason random can't really keep it together, and he did it so icy and hothead wouldn't have to be like him too.

anyway now maybe some headcanons that aren't so depressing

y'all know the first episode with the constructicons, and how blitzwing was looking at them?

blitzy had a lil crush

he's into the rugged, rough types. someone who can handle the crazy he puts into the universe

he finds humans rather interesting, much to the deceptions dismay

he still sees humans as lesser beings, but that's also why he find us so fascinating

how did a species of brainless little monkeys build such massive empires?

if given the chance, he would like to explore the earth a bit. not for the nature aspect, but to observe old human buildings, like the Roman Colosseum or the Pyramids.

he's a sucker for architecture

you have to do the heavy lifting here

the "through the wall/door" method has made it much easier

you two made quick friends, but the first time you came to his door, you were met with a lot of awkward silences

he didn't know what to say. how does he relate to a human? how can he, when he so openly despises your species? why would you even want to talk to him?

it's not like you don't know of his beliefs, or rather, his phobia

the rest of the scavengers made it very clear why he's so jumpy with you

but once you crack his shell a bit? you could yap for hours through the ships thin walls

eventually, he can sit in the same room as you. but please, just stay over there. don't get too close or he will hurl

he doesn't look at you when you're talking. it hurts, he knows it does, but you're making progress. that's all you can think about

and then he starts feeling.. weird.. around you.

he looks forward to talking with you, he actively seeks you out. hell, he can look at you without getting nauseous

he starts to think how you're not as bad as the other humans. sure, you're still a greasy, tiny, fleshie... but you're kind of nice to look at sometimes

as soon as that thought crosses his processor? good primus, the bot nearly hurls

partially due to the phobia, for majorly due to the rising ball of anxiety in his chassis

what the hell has he gotten himself into this time

his chronic anxiety rears its head every time he sees you from then on

and everyone notices. not like fulcrum is a very subtle bot

and boy do the scavengers give him hell about it

he will never be the one to confess. he's convinced it's just a faze, limerence if anything

but it just doesn't go away. it just gets worse

tes is also the only one who can really take it, being the only one bigger than helex

helex is a softie for his djd buddies. vos has made his home inside of helex's smelter, especially on colder planets

helex likes to instigate drinking competitions at bars. he has never lost

helex is incredibly competitive, and will make a competition out of ANYTHING (hence the drinking competitions)

he is genuinely freaked out by kaon. he's better at hiding it than tesarus, but kaon just has an aura about him that's hard to shake.

always watching no eyes

he likes holding hands. if anyone catches him holding hands with his crew, they won't live to tell about it though

its canon that he eats brains, so there's that

he's oddly interested in human biology. specifically, the stomach and brain. i mean, stomachs are basically small smelters and he just has a weird thing about brains

he's not just brawn, he's a bit of a bookworm. he enjoys literature, though it takes a special kind of boredom to get him to pick up a data pad

most of the time his mind is completely blank. not a single thought behind those eyes half of the time
