(i've had this in my drafts forever because I had intended to ramble on about the topic one night, but I have no idea what I had intended to say more about... so, anyways-)
Random, utterly unimportant thing: Deathsaurus and Fulcrum were potentially close in age* when Deathsaurus' contingent was sent out from Cybertron
"I was lucky: I was forged when the Decepticon Empire was at its peak.
We'd overthrown our oppressors, we'd torn down a system that served only those at the top, and we'd turned outwards—refining the galaxy by cleansing it of organic races to backward to recognize their inferior nature."
(he says, right before going on a hypocritical righteous spew about inflicting suffering; talk about inability to recognize smth, smh)
—
"Question: When did you become a Decepticon?"
"I was built as a Decepticon."
"As I thought. You weren't there at the beginning. You weren't there to watch the Decepticons grow—from an idea to an army."
—
*Obviously "close in age" can be a broad amount of time for beings that can live for millions and millions of years, but I say that in the sense that they're both constructed/forged in late 4 million BCE (?), around or after the silver harvest, in some short amount of time before the Decepticons began to really establish themselves as an empire outside of Cybertron. So obviously at most, a few thousand years apart, and at least, like maybe a week
There's also the massive gap in experience and the positions they would hold, (Dez likely being built to command, whereas Fulcrum being born would've had to climb the ladder, a sort of inversion of the forged/constructed bias of pre-war maybe? Unless warborn forged got a little special treatment or smth for, ya know, being born unique, while MTO's were planned and prepared to be,) but that kind of makes it more interesting as well
In a similar vein, maybe there's something to be said about both Decepticon and Autobots in that time being constructed/forged on a dying planet, filled up on data packets and other's memories of a cause they were born unto rather than chose, before being promptly rushed into wartime positions they either thrived and moved up from, or simply died in, and the disillusion and reflection that might cause later on. Idk. Perhaps they all should've been at the club instead... maybe things would've gone differently
fulfire
this is their relationship to me sorry
Wish we’d seen Fulcrum Cassian

Alexsandr Kallus's story was incredible. *SPOILER ALERT* I did not expect a Zuko level redemption arc while watching Star Wars Rebels but I am so glad they did it! Now imma go binge all the fanfics I can find of him and his POV, as well as any Kalluzeb I find cause I'm a shipper now lol.
Whenever I think i have a preference for guys my feed hits me with Ahsoka content and I'm reminded that women have my heart
bottom half of the first page of the notebook i use for notes & outlines of my superhero stories. i haven't decided which characters to add to the top half yet
