“The layout of this level is encrypted. I’ll try to crack it to let you know which way to go, but it seems you’ll have to rely on that stone thing for now” Jonas’ voice was heard in their communication devices. “Noted” June replied before she looked back at her companions. “Anything? Is it glowing more?” she asked as she swan closer to the one who was carrying the stone idol. That thing had started to glow faintly the closer they got to the Ruins of Kandam, like the temple where it belonged was calling to it and the idol was calling back, wishing to be delivered.

Even before she’d set foot in Fibonacci Ward, Gaige had been practically bouncing with excitement at the thought of the place.  A whole section of the city with a grungy steampunk aesthetic and a cyberpunk downtown- both very in-line with her typical favored design choices?  HELL yeah!  Getting around the island was fairly bothersome for the time being, of course, given she’d have to rely on the cab system.  Maybe she could whip up some kind of personal transportation in her free time- jet skates, maybe?  That’d be sick!  That was something to consider later, of course, given she didn’t yet have any regular skates to begin with.

Maybe it was the thought of everything the ward had in store for her that had her mind gravitating toward invention.  She’d heard the shops in the surface area had all sorts of machinery available for sale!  No more scrounging around in the dump for the time being!  At least so long as she had some...what was it called here, Stars?  Eh, cash was cash, and she still had a pretty good balance to work with!

“Folks don’t typically pay to get knives chucked at them. Are you feeling bad about yourself or something?”

Cub, finally finding the clinic after a few detours, walks up to the desk. This afternoon she’s sporting dyed blue hair and a leather jacket with various patches and badges.

He had just gotten there, stranded from Ylisse and his sisters in a time of great need, when a small bug bit Chrom on the side of his neck. With an annoyed grunt he flicked the small ladybug away, unaware of the circumstances he would soon fall prey to. That didn't matter to him right now-- he just wanted to get home, the longing in his heart pulling him this way and that to try and find a way out of the technologically advanced city.

He had to admit it was grand to see, perhaps even more so than Ylisse itself. The buildings soared high into the sky-- higher than the prince had ever seen before. It hurt his neck and made him a bit dizzy to try and look at the tops of them, and for a moment he couldn't help but wonder if they touched the sky, even by just a little bit.

It was then that his vision went a bit blurry, a fog filling his mind from the bite he paid little attention to. The dark blue haired male staggered a bit, trying to regain his bearings. Rubbing his eyes, the prince blinked once, twice, before his vision cleared and settled on one particular figure. A man with long, almost too long, blond hair that trailed down like a ribbon, braided tightly.

His name was Jack. He'd known him for years. The bite began to formulate and entirely fake past between the two strangers. Blue eyes brightened at the sight of the familiar stranger-- his friend. His... lover?

He remembered today was the day, and his heart began to pound... But still, he put on a brave face and headed toward the blond.

"Jack! There you are!"
