Over the past week the last side effects from her lost life at The Grid watered down entirely until they finally vanished. June was nowhere near as jumpy and on edge as she’d been after her disastrous experience in level 41 but she was still affected by it in some way. It had hit her in a sort of different way, something that set her off-balance emotionally, which was rare for her. For her, setting her focus on something else, like getting answers, was the best way to go about things. And so she’d gathered with Jack and Shadia for a trip to Limbo, resorting to the one source that could shed some light on the Geist programs: Sera. Though what the rogue program said to them was hardly reassuring. The most unsettling thing was what Sera told them about there being something ‘unusual in their code’. At this point, June wasn’t even sure what was considered usual in the programs and systems G.A.I.A. released in there. “So, that was interesting” Jonas said to them as they woke up, removing his communication device and beginning to shut down the computer. “Tell me about it...” the hacker said flatly, exchanging a look with her friends. Then she removed the IV from her arm and got off her chair. The Geists had a way of accessing their digitized conscience while they were in the virtual reality... Fuck.
