This is my very first post on here! I have made this blog to talk about my life living with Ulcerative Colitis, including all the hardships and challenges in day to day life (which there are definitely many of!)

#IBDlife update: After 2 weeks of high dose steroids, I spent the day in the hospital getting a scope to find out if their has been any improvement. While I knew there must've been going in as I have been feeling like an entirely new person (with the energy level of that of an actual 24 year old and not a 40 year old mother of 9). It was simultaneously good and bad news when I came to... Good news: There has been significant active disease reduction and I am now classified as having moderate disease instead of severe taking colectomy surgery off the table (at least for now) #winning Bad news: Steroids are not a viable long term course of treatment so we have to hope for the best as I taper off over the next 6 weeks and go from there. Could have been better news but could have been much worse so I am certainly grateful. Ps. naturally I had to get a pre-scope selfie with my biggest supporter. (at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto)
