Do you remember in previous shared a series of Gremlins headcanons? In the first one, I explained a bit about Mogwai and Gremlins—specifically their perspectives on biological sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation. In this post, I’m expanding on that headcanon to include relationship orientations. Without further ado, let me explain;
Mogwai and Gremlins biological sex:
Mogwai/Gremlin are born naturally intersex/unisex that later changes into a distinct sex(Male or female). Mogwais/gremlins have no nipples and no belly button. Mogwais/Gremlins have hidden internal genitalia hidden on a skin bag, when its come to y'know they genitalia are showed (That's bcs the mogwai and the gremlins have no clothes except for the flasher lmao). Mogwais/gremlins have both male and female genitalia. Mogwais/gremlins who are born unisex to male have fully formed weenie with no balls, a reduced vag and vestigial labia majora and minora, the weenie is in the same place of clit. Mogwais/gremlins who are born unisex to female have vestigial weenie in place of clit and a vag.
When a mogwai/gremlin gets wet its gonads (male and female) recombines to the skin and creates another mogwai/gremlin quickly (asexual reproduction via water).
Mogwai and Gremlins gender:
Most mogwai/gremlins identify as male or female, but some may be trans, non-binary/enby, intergender, etc.
Mogwai and gremlins sexuality:
(It is in these last two points that Mogwai and Gremlins really differ). Most Mogwai have unlabeled sexuality, unlabeled romantic attraction, or unlabeled queerplatonic, asexual, aromantic, aroace, or heterosexual orientations, whereas Gremlins are more inclined toward labels and thier atraction. When a mogwai/gremlin gets wet is like lost its virginity.
Mogwai and Gremlins relationship models:
Mogwai are naturally and acceptably monogamous, and they call polyamory non-ethical monogamy. While mogwai society is where monogamy is the norm and polyamory is a minority.
but gremlins choose both monogamy and polyamory (they are ambiamorous by nature, though some lean more toward monogamy—like George and Lenny—while others lean more toward polyamory—like Algernon).
Mogwai and Gremlins are born with an undifferentiated intersex/unisex body plan that naturally develops into either male or female as they mature, while retaining vestigial traits of the other sex. And their reproductive anatomy is normally concealed. Most identify as male or female, although some are transgender, non-binary, intergender, or have other gender identities. Mogwai generally place little importance on labels for sexuality or romantic attraction, often remaining unlabeled or identifying as asexual, aromantic, aroace, heterosexual, or queerplatonic, whereas Gremlins are more likely to use labels and openly express their attractions. Mogwai society is predominantly monogamous, with polyamory being an accepted but uncommon relationship style, while Gremlins are naturally ambiamorous, with some preferring monogamy and others polyamory depending on the individual.
