Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Fundin Odin, The Found One
Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters. This week it’s Fundin / Fundinn / Fundin, one of the possible names mentioned for Odin.
His name translates to “found” from the past tense ‘fundinn’ of the Old Norse 'finna’.
Possibly related to either Odin as a found traveler, or as the one who finds dead warrior souls for his army.

Anyway, I'm back at my Hobbit/LOTR bullshit! And the good thing about hyper-focusing on very minor Toilken characters is that you can make up whatever the hell you want about said characters and no one can stop you!
Therefore, here's Fundin, Balin and Dwalin's no nonsense tough-as-nails mother, and the unfortunately named Groin, Oin and Gloin's more care free but traditional father.
I had a lot of fun designing them!
