here thar be dwarves

-dwarven noble women with long soft beards that they brush out and braid every single day

-dwarven warrior women with their beards braided back into their hair or cropped short to keep them or of the way in a fight

-dwarven seamstresses and cooks keeping their beards tired behind a cloth or net to keep their beards from getting into their work

-dwarven lady clerics braiding their beards to match their holy symbols or braiding beads with their holy symbols into their beards

- dwarven magic users who keep their arcane focus hidden in their gloriously styled beards

-young dwarven girls getting excited over their first chin hairs

-beauty in dwarven society bring directly linked to proper beard maintenance

-Dwarven couples braiding our styling their beards in the same fashion to imply they their together, just to be cute

Balin: wisdom vs. taking risks. He may be a diplomat and a clever old dwarf but he’s also a war veteran and a deadly fighter still.

Reading in the Shire 📕

“Well, I like the Crystal Gems, and Sailor Moon,” I began, innocently enough. “Oh, and dwarves.”

“Dwarven sailor scouts!” came the all-too-quick reply.

“I’m sorry?” I stammered, ignorant as to what I had done.

This picture of Balin reminds me of that “This is fine” comic.

In their younger days, I imagine Bifur wanted to do a favour for his aunt and offered to take the two young’uns off her hands for a day. By noon he takes them on a nature walk (after everything else had been played with and/or destroyed at his place). Little Bofur saved a bunny from some predator animal. Bifur shows him how to gently handle the bunny and it keeps the attention of the little ones for awhile…

Heres two drawings of ori! The first is during The Quest to Erebor, and the second is during Moria. I wanted to rework a previous concept for an older ori, especially because I’ve been working on my time travel fic featuring him again. Im much happier with this version haha
