It pissess me off how SOME (most) Nori art I find is just khori or nova art in which Nori is making either Khan or Yeva uncomfortable. I get that it's a joke that Nori is freaky but omg SHE WOULD NOT BE MAKING PEOPLE UNCOMFORTABLE, IT MAKES HER LOOK LIKE SHE'S COMING ONTO THEM BY FORCE AND IT PAINTS HER AS AN ABUSERRRRRR WHEN SHE'S NOT AND I'LL DIE ON THIS HILL.
I find it funny how people who make those headcanons/art pieces usually mischaracterize Nori as a silly drone, bad mother, and completely ignore the fact that she has insane self guilt for her actions and even instantly changed for the better (unlike Khan who slowly changed and didn't even do it on his own terms, the teacher told him to.) "Nori makes bad choices for fun and she's so silly" they say as Nori is one of the most intelligent MD characters in the show. Did I mention Nori and J are also the only characters that have shown regret for killing worker drones/humans? Other characters usually only feel bad for hurting a person they care about and completely ignore the others. Nori does not. But yea, I guess she's "silly" and she hurts people for funsies, right??? Right????

Dori, Nori and Ori are always tagged but other characters may or may not be tagged. The tags used will be lowercase (Tumblr claims case doesn’t matter but it seems to).
All ships are appropriately tagged as usual though, “First in Alphabet x Second in Alphabet” (Balin x Dori, Ori x Thorin, Dwalin x Thorin x Nori), no accents on special characters (Fili, not Fíli, Oin not Oín).
If it is a Picture rather than fanart, it is tagged “photo”.
If it is a video of any sort, no matter how long, it is tagged “video”.
Gifs are usually marked “gif” but this is harder to update the past so it is more reliable after July 2026.
Moodboards are tagged with “moodboard” and not “photo” or “fanart”.
Photos of actors that not in character or costume are marked “cast” and the character they play (Again, the Brothers are the only characters that are reliably tagged).
Events relating to a Brother Ri, either fan related or official event, will be tagged with “event”, the appropriate Brother(s) tag and the year the event occurs in the format “YYYY”. If an event spans more than a single year (for example Dec - Jan) it will be tagged with both years.
For Ri Brother’s Adad and Amad fanart, tag “parent” is used.
Admin posts will be marked with “admin” and “the brothers ri”. They will be also be tagged with “dori”, “nori”, and “ori” but after a month the individual brother tags will be removed.
Over time, I will put out posts as I finish updating tags on already posted items (and the queued items) but until then this is only guaranteed to be on posts going forward that haven’t been queued before today. See below the cut for To-Do list and what has been updated.

The genus was erected by Swedish phycologist Jacob Georg Agardh in 1899, although many species were previoiusly in Porphyra, and some are still being moved across as recently as 2013. Species can be difficult to tell apart without microscope work, chromosome counts, and DNA studies.
A red alga, but species may be red, brown, or dark green. The blades can be up a meter long, but usually a fraction of that, and are a single cell thick. Despite that they can survive the harsh changes that come with living in the intertidal zone - otherwise, they can be found living down to about 10m depth if the water is very clear, in temperate and cool seas.
If the common name is familiar that's because growing the stuff is a two-billion-dollar industry, with most major growers located in China, Korea, and Japan.
