Being single at Christmas can be hard. It's a time that is filled with songs, films and posters of love and companionship between two people. Because of this it's not hard to see why some people feel as though they're not good enough to experience the media's perception of a 'perfect Christmas' and begin to fall into a spiral of negativity. But if you find yourself falling into that spiral then I implore you to rethink your situation. Just because you don't have one singular person doesn't mean that you don't have people surrounding you who want to be there for you, who will happily go on a date night or have a cosy night in with you. Love doesn't have to be reserved for one person only and if you have multiple people in your life then this just means more people to treat at this time of gift giving and appreciation ❤ being single does not equal being alone. I count myself lucky to have so many beautiful people surrounding me to take on dates, to watch films or play games with, to laugh and cry with. If you focus on accepting and loving yourself, and then appreciating and being there for the people that you love then the pressure of finding 'the one' suddenly becomes less of a big deal. You'll find self confidence, you'll be surrounded by people who are good for you, you'll be more happy. Met up with an old co-worker friend for sushi today. It was amazing. We had a really wonderful time and it had been a long while since we had caught up. We had talked for hours after lunch and it wasn't until we realized it was getting dark how much time had gone by. Today was really well spent and I really needed it. It was also refreshing to hear how well they were doing.

21/04: The lovely @spadeset came over this weekend, and Saturday it turned out to just so happen to be #nationalteaday (and the queen's birthday) - so I was able to get 2 4 1 on afternoon tea through the Gourmet Society! 💖🍵🙏🍰 The closest restaurant holding the offer also just so happened to be inspired by the state Cassie is from too 😂 we knew it was fate to go! I'm glad after stressing about booking it it worked out! It was lovely, I couldn't finish everything and had to take some away with me though 😂 #frienddatesareimportant #afternoontea #frienddate 10/10 would go again. The staff were lovely!!
