an interesting one! i fried up some pastry, seasoned and fried some tuna, and added it all together with sliced boiled egg, a bit of potato, and turmeric.
i was iffy on the texture combos of the ingredients. it was specifically the flakiness of the tuna and the distinctly Egg texture of the egg. it made for an interesting mouth experience.
however, as i kept eating, things started to come together, to make more sense. it was the textures meddled into something unusual but really good. i really enjoyed how it ended up, and i ended up making a second one. you can do an incredible amount with this sandwich - there's way more you could do with it, way more veggies to add. some recipes are more like a salad, with the eggs being chopped and mixed with the veggies. i think that'd be good, and i think it would pair well with the flaky pastry dough.
this is the only tunisian sandwich on the list, and that makes me sad. it's really tasty and unique, and this list could definitely use some more entries like it.
Today I got to try something not on the menu at @chard_city ✨ 🇹🇳 It’s Tunisian fricassé! Which is fried bread split in the middle and filled w/ potato, harissa, tuna, black olives, hard boiled egg, and capers. This was DELICIOUS. The bread reminded me of a Trinidadian/Caribbean fry bake. 🤤 . . Thank you @chard_city for making this for me and it definitely did not disappoint! . . Ingredientes:
- 500g de carne cozida desfiada (usei paleta) - 2 latas de milho (sem o caldo) - 2 caixinha de creme de leite - 1 potinho de requeijão - Óleo e tempero a gosto - Tomate, alho e cebola picadinhos - Queijo muçarela ralado - Batata palha

✨fricassé de linguiça de frango✨
Recheio: 1 kg linguiça de frango 1 cebola 1/2 pimentão 1/4 salsinha Creme: 2 milho 2 cx creme de leite 1/2 requeijão ou cream cheese Sal Queijo por cima
Retire a capa da linguiça e refogue o conteúdo em um fio de azeite, até que fique dourado. Então adicione a cebola, o pimentão e a salsinha. Pode colocar tomate se gostar. Para o creme bata no liquidificador o milho, creme de leite e o requeijão/cream cheese. Misture o recheio no creme e transfira para o refratário que pode ir ao forno. Cubra com queijo e leve para gratinar. Pode servir com batata palha 😜
