actually let me take this opportunity to shout out Quino, the guy I'm transparently copying in how I make shadows (not that he needs to get a s/o, being so famous. But people outside latinamerica aren't very familiar with his work and I love that I can introduce people to him)
I had his whole collection of cartoons as a kid and I was obsesseddddddd with them. I knew all ≈2000 Mafalda comic strips in my collection by heart, that's how much I read and reread them. There was a time you could show me one Mafalda drawing out of context I could recite the speech bubble. But my favorite were his other cartoons and political commentary
He has thousandsssss of cartoons and they're all bangers. Every single one. If you manage to find a collection of his work around, do yourself a favor and read it. You're welcome!!!!

I do think fundraising and doing art commissions are different beasts. I've seen some great campaigns that use art to draw attention to certain donation links, this is an effective way to get eyeballs on a specific campaign. I don't know exactly if this translates to actual donations. I don't have access to their numbers bts
This isn't a request, but I'm considering on opening doodle commissions so I can earn enough to donate to Palestinians, like what you're doing. Thing is, I have never opened commissions before, and I just want to get money quickly. Any advice?
well, I think it's a great thing to donate to Palestine and I'm glad you want to donate, but I think you misunderstood the dynamics of the drive
The doodles were made for limited time, during barricade day or near it, which is when yk the fandom is posting a lot of art and fan content and reblogging les mis. It's not a project that happens whenever. A limited time offer does help spike commissions in general tho, that much I know. But I also don't really do commissions
More importantly here, I myself don't get any money from the drive. People donate to palestinian campaigns and they send me a receipt with proof of their donation. Money is never in my hands at any point.
