I finally fixed it

Twas a fucking compiler command gone bad

My code was good

It feels. Bittersweet to say the least. I genuinely did not think this would be my last competition as a student, but it was.

When my mentor was showing me a video on their phone, they decided to just blast it at full volume (PUBLIC INDOORS AT A PANERA BREAD BTW.) And instead of like, holding it up or perhaps allowing the device to safely lay on a flat surface, they slid it onto the table.

The phone just slipped off the table like it too was beyond exhaustion and I think if it participated in the Winter Olympics it would be noted for how elegantly and yet soullessly it flew off the table. There was poetry to be found in there somewhere.

Anyways, I looked down at the cellular device on the floor and back up at my mentor who was just staring with this blank expression of resignation and despair.

I was a teenager wearing a gay lab coat (it’s gay because it had pride pins) surrounded by other teenagers wearing gay lab coats in a public facility fumbling to pick up a phone that was blasting something like

OH JACKSON THIS DOORFRAME IS ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE THSI IS THE MOST AZIMF THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME!!! (<—- the video was about a cat obsessed with doorframes)

While the responsible adult was just kinda standing there presumably having collapsed under it all
