I finally have time to read fics, and since I'm a quick reader, I've read over 900k words. My TBR, I'm coming for you. I'm finishing all these fics before the end of the year. ( I blame jegulus)

Try me! In the past 12 days, I have read 3,262 pages, including three books I needed to review, in order to read the entire Bone Season revised editions and newest release so I could have a fully informed and engaged conversation next Tuesday with Samantha Shannon.
It was a true test of just how fast a reader I can be: it averages out to around 271 pages read a day. I've always wanted to get into this series, and this was more than the perfect push to finally dive in. Finished with time to spare!

β¨β¨ how i read so quickly β¨
πΏ format: i read exclusively on apple iBooks, i find i read so much faster there then a physical book. i love physical books, but donβt like the texture of paper under my hands (im autistic and sensory sensitive)
πΌ fast reader: im a naturally fast reader. this obviously helps a ton. i have hyperlexia (opposite of dyslexia), and can get through books quite quickly (i can get through 400 pages in about 5 minutes)
π learn to skim: my brain naturally skims over unimportant words or filler scenes sometimes. this helps as well. obviously this is controversial probably, but this is literally how my brain works
β¨ get familiar with common themes/tropes in your favourite genres: it will make a new book easier to get through, as youβre already aware of whatβs going on from previous history. no book is truly original
π diversify your reading list: switch up genres to keep yourself entertained so you can read for longer
π take breaks when you need it: donβt force yourself to read more. i probably average about 1.5 hours a day of reading, unless im insanely busy. but some days i do less, and you need breaks to avoid reading burnout. i have a lot of control over my routines, so im very privileged in this sense. i realise 1.5 hours is a lot
π read shorter books (duh?): when i was getting back into reading / starting to read crazy amounts, i read lots of short books and that got me comfortable with literature. now i donβt even blink at the page length, unless if itβs over 600+ pages
π¦ track your reading: either on storygraph or goodreads. i find looking at reading stats (esp storygraphβs) so motivating to read. it doesnβt need to be 1,000 books, it can be 50 or 10. the most important thing is just having a goal to work towards
π highlight as you go to help retain information whilst reading quickly

I read the whole shatter me series (+novellas and watch me. All in pdf) in 5/6 days, and also read "betting on you", yesterday I bought "This Time It's Real" by Ann Liang and couldn't read it until 8pm bcz I had to study for an exam I had today and I managed to finish the book at school...

After doing the research I have figured something out.
Recently I tested my reading speed, and figured out I can read about 11,500 words in 28 minutes and fifteen seconds.
That is 11,500 words, in 1,650 seconds.
That means I can read the entire Homestuck story (800,000 words) in 1,965.2173913 minutes. Or, 32.75 hours with no breaks reading at a pace I can keep up with constantly.
I could read the entire Homestuck Story in less than a day and a half if I had enough freetime and didn't have to deal with bodily needs.
Real question here, is Should I read homestuck and see how long it takes me? For those who have read it, is it good enough to read all the way through in probably 2 or 3 days considering I need breaks?
