actually i think we shouldn't be chill with people who say they can't "support queer rights cause it's against their religion"
âInseminaryâ
or âLockpick to the Priesthoodâ or âCome Unto Meâ or âPearl Necklace of Great Priceâ or âFaith is Like a Little Seedâ
Authentic stolen holy text, Near Clear silicone, gold pigment.
I went to the mormon churchâs website, looked up their views on homosexuality, noted the scriptures they referenced, ripped them by hand out of the bible and book of mormon I stole from their chapel, and then mixed them into a silicone dildo of my own design like confetti. A dildo which will of course be used for homosexual purposes (with non-lubricated condoms and water based lube, for safety).
Iâve wanted to try dildo making for literally over a decade. I donât have any fancy equipment like a 3D printer or a vacuum chamber, I made the sculpt by hand, and I fucked up a lot along the way, but all that being said Iâm proud of what I was able to accomplish and I learned a lot. I put in more gold than I meant to, but honestly, it was meant to represent scriptureâs gilded edges, and as it turned out, it looks really beautiful or quite filthy depending on the lighting, which feels entirely appropriate for scripture.
It was hard to read all of those verses. But as I tore them up I bathed them in the intention to take words that were meant to inflict queer pain wherever they go, and say âActually, I pull those words out when I want some queer pleasure.â Build joy where they want you to have it the least.
Read about/donate to the Timpanogos tribe, for whom brigham young sent out an âextermination orderâ

Itâs a remarkably slow day in the Pitt. Of course, nobody says anything. Theyâre far too afraid to jinx it. Trinity and him have been squabbling about something meaningless all day, and theyâre currently continuing that trend.
âLook, if you want me to stop eating your fruit so badly, then maybe mark it with a post-it note!!â
âItâs my fucking apartment, I shouldnât have to!â
Before he can start a longer conversation with her, Princess leans over the counter to speak to him, sliding a tablet over to him.Â
âDr. Whitaker, thereâs a guy in South 16 who has been waiting for, like, thirty minutes for someone to see him.â She tells him.
âYeah, Iâll go check on him, thank you, Princess.â He starts towards the room, scrolling through the chart on the tablet, trying to get himself up to speed.Â
Elijah Torrey, 19 year old male, reported consistent pain in his left calf. Simple enough. He pulls back the dividing curtain and stops. Oh, fuck his life.
Elijah sits, back straight, on the hospital bed, dressed in black dress pants, a white button up shirt, and a red striped tie. Heâs still got pimples. The black nametag clipped to the shirt reads in white lettering:
ELDER TORREY
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
Teaching children thinking bad thoughts about someone is the same thing as murdering that person is fucked up.Â
Thought crime doesnât exist. No one has ever been harmed or killed by someone thinking negative thoughts about them.Â
You know what has harmed people though? Teaching them they are evil for things they canât control. Especially those who have intrusive thoughts.Â
Hereâs for everyone who has been taught their thoughts make them evil.
Intrusive thoughts are not your secret desires.Â
They are involuntary.Â
You donât need to be ashamed of them.Â
They will pass.
You are not committing taboo.Â
No one can read your mind.
No one will ever know whatâs in your thoughts unless you feel like telling them.
No one can judge you for what you are thinking, whether voluntarily or involuntarily.
Your thoughts are private
You are not a bad person.

I think we really don't talk that much about how fucked up it is that the Mormon church sends eighteen to twenty five year olds to do free marketing for them (that the person going has to pay to go on btw) for like two years. Like, those are kids, why are you doing that to them?
Friendly reminder to be nice to Mormon missionaries. Don't give them any contact information, and don't accept Book of Mormons from them, but if they show up at your door maybe offer them a glass of water and some food. They've received propaganda to be out there their entire lives, and they're stuck in the cult within a cult of Mormonisim while out there. Like the rules they have to follow? INSANE. They have to get up at six thirty EVERY DAY and that's a mild rule. Most of them are starving most of the day too.
Most of the Mormon missionaries just got out of high school or have been out for a year in the case of women who leave at 19 and now they're having to come to terms constantly with the reality their religion might all be bullshit, and being mean to them actually gives them conformation bias that their religion is the only true one. I think we can cut them just a little slack. Blame the church, not the kids on your doorstep regardless of how annoying they may be.
people act like ex-cult members are less likely to fall back into a cult but theyâre wrong. i left mormonism and if i have to spend more than a week with my mormon parents bad thoughts start happening. it starts with âwell maybe it wasnât so bad but im still not going backâ but thatâs the trick because it really WAS that bad and you need to stay far away. even knowing itâs all bullshit you can get pulled back in because you spent years of your life doubting and pushing that doubt away. you are well-trained not to doubt. it takes a long time learn when to trust and when not to.
