• he’s 100% declawed, whether it was done by Gregory or someone else is unknown. Anyone willing to SEW parts of a cat shut is willing to declaw them/neg

• he YEARNS for like.. normalcy (is that the word I don’t know..) from when he was a regular cat.. if that makes sense

• when he became anthropomorphized.. if that’s even a word, it made his internals like his organs, stomach and other parts of his body more ..human? If that makes sense, which is why he can eat chocolate which is normally toxic to cats like it is to dogs.

• his vocal cords are probably strained from all the yowling he does, hence why his voice is kinda raspy

🎵POOR CONDUCTOR 🎼

• WOOOOOO OKAY!! Uhm, first off I’d like to think that the whole,, “trapped in the vinyl” sequence that happens when he sings isn’t actually real, people think his singing sounds SO bad that it feels like… that (plus I can’t imagine him wanting to hurt anyone.. and why in LAM he has a different ability)

• he can taste genres of music depending on the record in his mouth.. suggestions are welcome..

• the music that he plays will change tone depending on his mood (medium volume and upbeat when happy, fast and scratchy when panicked, loud and booming when angry), this is when the record in his mouth is actually cooperating though

• cries. A lot. That’s not a surprise I just want to emphasize I think he’d cry over ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. When no one listens to his music? Tears. If he’s angry? Tears. If there’s a tiny inconvenience that happens during that day? TEARS.

• I’d think he would passive aggressively bonk people over the head with his baton, like not hard. Just a simple “no no, don’t do that” type of bonk when someone’s doing something REALLY dumb (most common people to be bonked are James, Dead bodies, Roulette boy, Cactus gunman, Cassie and even Gregory if he’s feeling confident that day)

• really REALLY touch starved, like even if someone were to rest a hand on his shoulder he’d COMPLETELY FREEZE UP, not in a bad way of course. He’s just not used to people willingly touching him..

• he uses a very outdated vocabulary, like.. he’d use “gay” in a sentence because that meant happy at one point, old MAN.

• genuinely thinks rap should not be considered a form of music.

• probably has a sweet tooth

🌳BONSAI KABUKI🪭

• around autumn and winter, his tree starts to loose its leaves: which makes him SUPER insecure because it’s the equivalent to loosing hair for him.

• regardless of his facial expression, his third eye will give away how he’s ACTUALLY feeling. So if he’s being chewed out by someone and he’s got a smug smirk on his face his third eye will look like it’s on the verge of tears, same goes for when someone’s annoying him and he’s trying to NOT scowl? His third eye is already squinting at whoever he’s talking to.

• he likes to surprise people by hiding around the hotel in his regular pot.. form thing. Since I’d like to think there’s a few non sentient bonsai trees scattered around the hotel he can just.. pretend he’s one of those and when someone walks by.. it’s fantasy time bitch

• he has a green thumb. he loves any sort of plant, flower, etc. and knows what EVERY flower means and will call people by different flowers depending on their personality (hence why I draw him calling Caleb “rock rose”)

• he’s VERY agile, considering kabuki as an art has performers acting out multiple rigorous dances and stunts (have you seen videos of kabuki performances?? They do that shit in kimonos it’s insane how do they not trip..)

• his body is very fragile when it comes to blunt force, since his “skin” is made out of the same material his head is made out of.

• flammable, very flammable. I’d like to think his internals like the inside of his mouth and.. everything else are just.. leaves and branches while his bonsai tree is sort of like his.. brain?? And unfortunately that makes him prone to being victim in fire related incidents.

• likes drama, like hotel drama.. because he would let’s not even pretend he wouldn’t the nosy FUCKER/pos (he’d like TLC..)

Why tf did they build up clues and stuff as if the bell keeper was Hildas dad, like don't get me wrong I do love her dad in the final season(I forgot his name, Edmund or smth idk) like he's a cool character, divorced dad rep or smth, I love the bits where Johanna tries to explain to hilda that he's just like that and runs off away from his family spy tf2 style, but I also kinda hate him bc he came outta the blue?? Especially bc my assumption was that hildas dad left when she was like a baby, but in season 3 of the show she seems to actively know him and such, whereas in the hilda movie (hilda and the mountain king) she asks the trolls if they have dad's, they say no, and she seems sad, tp me this implied that she was sad she couldn't like, have a dad, or experience having 2 parents, and yknow then there's the whole thing about the bell keeper hiding away from Johanna, having the blue grey streak in his hair (which is a mix of hildas hair and johannas hair), and the whole cucumber sandwiches thing, <- that last part seems cringe but whyd they add a detail like that if it wouldn't be Important yknow, like ok if the bellkeeper WASNT hildas father then I would've assumed he was a relative of Johanna? And like fell out or smth, there feels like there was too much to hint at him being hildas dad, and he re-appeares a little too much in the show to be a character that like.. wasn't important, at all, also with the fact that I think s3 was supposed to be a but longer ig mayybe that's why he didnt appear later on? Idk man, I don't hate s3 its just this one thing STILL bugs me lmfao,

- he’s kind of dropped out of high school, at least mostly anyway. His mom still isn’t over Wirts “death” and doesn’t have the energy to scold him about it. A combo of adhd and his teachers constantly comparing him to Wirt made it too much for him

- when he was still a kid his parents tried to get him therapy for his belief in the unknown. The doctors told them it was a healthy coping mechanism so they dropped it. As he got older he became infatuated with crypids and the paranormal, and even more interested in figuring out what exactly the unknown was and how to get back. He started small and by the time the au takes place he’s about 16 and has actual equipment and progress

- he wears that dumb teapot around more often then he should. His friends think it’s cool and that’s enough for him

- he has a tattoo he absolutely was too young to get of a edelwood tree on his back. It’s his way of taking power away from the beast.

- insomnia has been a pretty big problem since the accident. Nightmares of turning into a tree, Wirt turning into a tree and him being too late, or both of them turning into trees are frequent. They got worse as he got older and began to fully understand the situation. He has meds to help him sleep now.

- he’s actually well known for being a paranormal investigator, he has a small group of misfits and has successfully found hauntings in the area

- He picks up clarinet as well as other instruments like the trumpet and guitar, and plays Wirts old clarinet when he’s out of the house (he doesn’t want his mom to be reminded of Wirt :()

- He picked up a lot from Wirt, actually. He wears a lot of his old clothes that aren’t too nerdy and is still devoted to preserving his memory. Of course, it’s cause he doesn’t think Wirts really dead and still thinks he can save him from the unknown, but he stopped telling people (aside from his close friends) that out load when he realized it made him sound crazy. He has a bluebird necklace that used to belong to Wirt that he never takes off.

- he uses cassette tapes to record a lot of investigations, as a homage to Wirt

- he also uses Wirts cassette player for personal use. He records songs and uses it as a personal diary. He started talking to Wirt through it too, telling it about his feelings about his trauma and everyday things. Their labeled “for Wirt” and left at the bottom of the garden wall. Mysteriously, their never there when he comes back to add more…

- Sara was a reallly good adult figure for him. She used to walk him to and from school, take him to parks, be a shoulder to cry on. His mom didn’t approve of her being around at first, she unfairly blamed Sara and the rest of Wirts friends for the accident. She couldn’t stop her though since she had seeped far enough into her own guilt to be neglectful and someone had to be there emotionally for Greg.

- his dad on the other hand is kind of hot and cold. Before the accident he was doting and loving, but after most of his time was spent comforting his mom. His dad wanted him to get over Wirt for a while, saying things like “he was a terrible brother anyway” and oh boy that did not help. Their relationship improved a bit in high school since his dad was the music teacher, until he dropped out. Greg doesn’t really know how to talk to either of his parents. They didn’t believe him about the unknown or the trauma that came from it, so what would they believe? It leads to a lot of “they don’t need to knows”, he still hasn’t told them about the tattoo or come out of the closet to them yet.

- More on Wirt, a big reason he still thinks he’s alive is cause they never found his body. The adults assumed he pulled Greg out of the water and then sank. Greg’s half right. Wirts still alive kinda, as alive as the Beast can get.
