Yeah, so I think Dorian juuuuuust might be Cullen's "if I had to pick a dude," judging by his daydreaming right in the middle of their game, lol! Seriously, though (well, I am a little serious about that, I want Dorian to find love and I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to trigger his romance with Bull this time around, darn it) but I love when you get to see the characters interacting with each other, not just with the main character. It makes the world feel so much more lived-in! Mass Effect does this so well, also. 🤗🤗🤗

Two things in this one screencap: Cole, in his big, floppy hat, is the precious child of everybody in my party. I mean, they'll call out when others need help but is it my imagination that they sound VERY alarmed when it's Cole? "Cole needs help! Somebody help Cole!" I wasn't planning on taking him with me on missions because I didn't know how strong he is. He can actually deal good damage but he'll also take damage if you're not careful. I just... I love him so much! The more I talk to him, the more I wish the prompt would come up *give Cole a hug* 🫂

The other thing in that screencap? We'd just finished a fight and I couldn't figure out what was rumbling and stomping around so much and I turned around and, yet again, went, "There's a DRAGON???"

One day, fam, I will stop being surprised about that. Maybe even before I finish the game, who knows?

Dorian became the first member of our party to tell Herah that he's her friend and has her back, no matter what! 😭🫂

I love Dorian so much, he's definitely getting a romance from my next Inquisitor!

When you jump riiiiiight as a conversation begins... 👀😂😉And yes, I had the entire conversation while doing that, too, lol!

Honestly, I panicked a lot, let a lot of people die instead of saving them, and by the time we got to the part where my beloved Herah was alone, struggling to walk through the snow, injured, staggering, not knowing what happened to any of our friends, I was feeling her despair.

And then she collapses into the snow just as Cullen, Cassandra and our friends find her!

But relief is short lived because she wakes up, hearing them all arguing and, again, I felt the hopelessness, the utter defeat, she was feeling. And then this moment happens...

As Mother Giselle starts singing "The Dawn Will Come" and the others join, one by one, I got emotional, no lie. Hope can feel in such short supply in real life and this scene providing such a solemn reminder that it's never completely lost no matter how much you have lost... Wow. It hit me like a gut-punch.

I also realized how invested I've become in these characters. I totally understand why they're beloved. They're my beloveds now, too.

I'm 40 hours in and this was the prologue???

But... I want to do so many of the romances! I need to romance my Cassandra! I want to tackle Cullen straight to the ground! Dorian reminds me sooooo much of my sweetheart Reyes Vidal from Mass Effect: Andromeda and I neeeeeeeeed to romance him! C'mon, Iron Bull, yesplz? I've got to get in my daily allotted angst with Solas, right? I flirted once with Blackwall and then dropped him when I decided not to romance a warrior this time around. I PROMISED JOSEPHINE A ROMANCE AND I'M ROMANCING SERA INSTEAD. I have to make that right! *fist thump*

That's A LOT OF ROMANCIN' I need to get to! I... don't know that I have that many hours left in my life to cover that many playthroughs.

Initial plan, though, is after I've finished the game, to come back to right before the Haven section ends because I frickin' want to save some people this time! And I realized that's s perfect place to switch romances because Josephine finally offered me a flirt option but Sera offered them quite a few times already and, well, Herah and I have been waiting 40 some hours to get our romance on, lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's got to be a way to streamline things, right? I've been doing all of the side-quests and requisitions and such but these subsequent playthroughs I can focus on the main missions instead.

Anyway, I'm loving things, even if I just had my emotions slightly destroyed, lol. I mean, if a game isn't getting you to care, then it's not really doing its job, is it? And DA:I has definitely gotten me to care!

I mean, you can't tell me that EVERYBODY wouldn't be joining the Inquisition if we pulled into town looking this fine! 😍

Well, okay, if there were somehow some hold-outs, then this would definitely get them onto our side...

(I truly believe that Solas is going to aim a fireball straight at my face the next time he sees me... 👀😱😂)

I mean, if your team of heroes isn't looking this sweet and stylish are you even doing your job at all? 🤔

My only regret is that I can't dress Cullen, Josephine and Leliana in their own Antaam-saar armor. 😞
