The cogfly crochet pattern is now available on my Etsy store here! Red or purple, take your pick, they're friend shaped all the same. You can keep it as a little pocket friend, or turn it into a keychain to bring it with you everywhere you please!

Making these was interesting because i haven't worked with a design that was crocheted flat before, not to this degree. Only the body of the cogfly is crocheted in the round, and everything else is worked flat. I'm sure someone else could figure out how to make the cogfly's head in the round, but at the size I wanted to make it at and the qualities I wanted for the head? I just couldn't figure it out. Still! It makes for an interesting learning experience.

Physical orders for my crocheted Knight plushie are officially available!!

I've been working hard on sorting out the logistics of making all of this possible, from sorting out shipping, deciding on pricing, making a brand new Knight plushie to finalize decisions, and more! But the wait is finally over—if you've been wanting your very own little Ghost, they are now available for purchase here on my Etsy store!

Some facts at a glance:

They're selling for 70 USD. I'm aware that this is a rather steep cost for many (I know! I'm sorry!), but I decided this was the fairest price for the amount of work I put into them.

There is also an option to add 15 USD to also get their nail and scabbard! Make sure you select the correct option when purchasing.

I'm currently only shipping to territories within North America. Rest assured, this is temporary! It will change once I figure out more details about shipping out products to buyers.

On that note, free shipping within the United States! (Sorry non-US folks :( international shipping is just too expensive...)

This is a big, exciting step forward for me, and honestly I'm not too sure what to expect. But, I'm down to roll with the punches and go with the flow of things. In the meantime, there's a little friend waiting for a new forever home! Maybe you'll be the one to take them with you?

the context is shipping. the winner of jumbo knight lives overseas from me, so i have to ship them internationally. which is fine! it’s been very interesting (and a little nervewracking) to figure out the logistics. a lot of information is required, but the process seems pretty straightforward honestly, as long as i can get the correct weight.

the problem, so to speak, is that internationally shipped items need an HS tariff code. it’s to help with customs i believe, and there are a lot of these numbers that correspond to different specific items. so, i googled ‘handmade plushie HS tariff number’ and clicked onto a site to find an appropriate code. and i did find one!

but it was labeled ‘soft animal plushies.’

and i sat there and was like. is. is the knight an animal by this standard.

so, i ask again:

Now that the fundraiser is over, however, I have some extra news: I have made a mini version of the Knight!

This Knight plushie is roughly half the size of the jumbo Knight, standing at about 5.5 inches tall, but it also means it uses significantly less yarn to make. It is no less cuddly though (truth be told I’ve been obsessed with the one in the pictures here). The pattern is now available on my Etsy store here!

However, the Knight would not be complete without their weapon, the nail. For those interested, I have also made the Knight their nail, alongside a removable scabbard:
