This might be a weird question : I was wondering about egg freezing treatment and whether this is possible after stage 1 phalloplasty as the female reproductive system would be still intact or is it unheard of?
As far as Iām aware thereās no medical reason why egg freezing wouldnāt be possible simply due to having the first stage of phalloplasty.

I want to freeze my eggs before I start t/get my hysterectomy but will that delay my medical transition? How long does it take to freeze your eggs? How old do you have to be? Is there a mandatory time you have to wait between the procedure and starting testosterone?
The medical process of egg freezing takes around 3 weeks to complete, but it will also take a little while to organise.
Restrictions on who is eligible for egg storage largely depends on how it is being funded.Ā If you are wishing to receive NHS funding then any restrictions will vary depending on the CCG which you come under.Ā This also includes minimum ages, as some may effectively have no minimum age (but will need you to have completed puberty) and other areas may have a minimum age such as 18.
You would also need to consider whether there are any restrictions on how long they will fund egg storage for.Ā This varies quite a bit as well, with some areas not having any restrictions, and others having restrictions such as 3 or 10 years.Ā If you would be funding storage yourself then you need to consider the cost of storage and how long you could feasibly do this for.
As far as I am aware there is not a set time that you would need to wait between having your eggs extracted and commencing testosterone therapy, but it may be wise to leave some time to allow your hormones to settle and adjust to avoid a huge shift.

Anyone ever chose to freeze their eggs before starting testosterone? If so does it mean you have to wait longer to start testosterone?
Some people do decide to do this.Ā It would mean delaying starting testosterone until the egg extraction had been completed, which can take a couple of months in itself, not including organising it/arranging funding.

What a conundrum - please help
Hi there I don't know if anyone will be able to help but I am have some trouble deciding if I should store my genetic material (eggs) or not before I start T. I am unsure if it is going to be covered on the NHS or not (they said maybe by next April) I am just wondering if any guys have any knowledge/experience/advice regarding it. It is something I really am struggling to decide on and there isnt a lot of info out there. A private job costs anywhere from £3000-£6000 and I just don't have that kind of money and I'm worried that if I held off on T whilst I save it will be even more difficult PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO PLEASE MESSAGE ME
