one evening, in lu chen's high-end apartment, you and he are cuddling each other intimately. but wait, aren't you curious about why you're here with him? well, let's rewind a little. this morning, you was snowed under your deadlines and had no time caring about your lunch break then, the ceo lu chen showed up out of the blue.

well, it's true that you and he haven't seen each other much recently so, you accepted the invitation.

that's why you're here with him. come to think of it, it's worth coming over his place. it brings you a peace of mind in an inexplicable way.

you don't even know why maybe peace has always looked a little like him.

you had dinner with him. he cooked by himself, saying a home-cooked meal is the best for our health, our bonds and to show his affection. it was a fancy meal, though. pan-seared salmon, beef tenderloin, pasta aglio e olio, etc and red wine, of course. he even bought a large piece of tiramisu from your favorite bakery. how chivalrous of lu chen! oh right, he always loves pampering you with sweet treats.

anyway, back to where we are. everything is so cozy. you're showered with his tender gestures, making all your worries go away. you truly feel like a little bunny as you curl up in his arms. from seven to eleven. what time is it? maybe you lost track of time, as usual.

he ruffles your hair gently, brushes a loose strand of hair behind your ear (he wants to see your face clearly) while the two of you are sharing the same blanket. suddenly, he places a soft kiss right on your left cheek for a moment before finally pulling away.

your cheeks turns pink after that kiss. it was.. way too unexpected!

"so.. how come i stay here.. at this hour?" ── it's a red herring

a mischievous grin tugged at his lips.

"well, i don't usually let people kiss me so casually so.. since you stole a kiss, you owe me compensation!"

"yeah". you nod with exaggerated seriousness. "that's the rule."

he remains silent for a while as if he is considering

you pretend to think so long and so hard.

his expression turned teasing.

without hesitation, he slides his left hand into your t-shirt, rubbing your back gently before go higher and unhook your bra. he's kind of a naughty man, isn't he?

"i told you to teach bunny a lesson..". his touch gives you goosebump as always. you can't resist.. or you just don't want to resist.

"𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑚𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔."

"how?"

"then… should bunny write a self-reflection report?"

a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips. without a word, he buries his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling deeply your scent. he brushes a lingering kiss against your collar and lets out a husky whisper.

"𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡, 𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔."

he reached over to switch off the bedside lamp. darkness settled between both of you. you couldn't help but feeling hazy for a moment.

the night grows quieter, bathed in gentle moonlight. somewhere nearby, a flower finally unfurls beneath the silver glow.

No hate to authors specifically, BUT

I actually despise how lots of fanfics just shove him aside completely or try to belittle him not only as a love interest, but as a character in general. I love Chenrich and I'm the biggest Steph simp overall, but come on, people. Ryan is great. Stop making him just a side piece, stop making him the bad guy, stop making him someone insignificant to both Alex and Steph.

When I played True Colors for the first time, I already knew I would go for Steph, because again, I'm the biggest simp. But Ryan was so precious I really had a hard time settling for Steph the first time, I even gave him the rose the first time because their dynamic with Alex was so comforting, but still had to replay the the fourth chapter for a completely different reason.

I mean I know people were frustrated to know that Alex can get mistreated by him in the end, but... To me it makes him human. Flawless and imperfect, but actually realistic.

I don't like that because of that scene people call Steph the superior love interest, because no. The fact he has an option to not believe Alex makes him just more versatile. Plus, Steph had no personal reasons not to believe Alex during the counsel unlike other characters.

Ryan is not worse than Steph as a love interest and he's a really worthy character apart from romancing him. Why my boy is so often getting reduced to just "oh, he loves birds". He's much more than that.

If you're a Chenrich writer, thank you, but don't make an errand boy out of Ryan for your Chenrich.
