Preserved Timbers from Iron Age Crannogs, Dumfries Museum, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
Bound (again): Dwelling by aideomai
I bound this fic two years ago, and although I was happy with it at the time, I knew I could improve up on it. And this time I was not going to subject it to my guillotine.
(What started this project was pulling it off my shelf to read it and being unable to because of how crooked the trim job was. I just couldn't stop staring at the uneven margins.)
(I'm also amused that in my post for that bind, I commented on how happy with how square it turned out.)
Here's what I did:
Cleaned up the typeset (but didn't change it much)
Trimmed it using my plough
Sewed the endbands
Didn't use AI generated endpapers (look, it was two years ago, before I knew better)
Designed a more interesting cover (I actually made the background in Procreate. This is about the limit of my Procreate abilities.)
Printed the cover on canvas
Used gold HTV for the title/author on the cover
I guess that's about it, but I'm so much happier with this version.
just read Dwelling on ao3 and I wanna die a little. god I love drarry. also its 2am. yes I read it in one sitting.

Forest of Arden
Artist Frank Coburn (American, 1862-1938)
Date: 1916
Medium: Oil on wood panel
Collection: Bowers Museum, Santa Ana, CA, United States
Description
Helena Modjeska, the renowned Polish actress, brought Shakespeare’s Arden - the forest setting of "As You Like It"- to life in the canyons of Southern California. She first moved to Anaheim in 1876 to join a Utopian farming venture, a dream she soon abandoned, pushing her to return to the stage. In 1888, she began building her home, Arden, which came to embody the tranquil refuge she had originally sought in California.
Frank Coburn painted this view of Modjeska seated by her fountain seven years after her death, using a photograph (object #4568) as a reference.
