Divining Timing
A Tom Riddle X Demigod! Reader fanfic
The Fates really have a knack for throwing your life out of order—if there was ever an order to begin with—so of course the spell meant to have you retrieve a birthday gift for your younger half sister ends up catapulting you to Scotland, England in 1944.
Here you are now—in some place called Hogwarts, 66 years in the past, on a whole different continent, all alone and away from anything that could help you. Not only do you have to manoeuvre the intricacy of keeping your identity as time travelling demigod a secret, you also have to deal with a strange and dangerous boy named Tom Riddle keeping his eye on you. But hey, you’ve fought two wars, this much should be easy, right?
Right??
RIGHT????
Or, alternatively:
Time travelling, OP Demigod reader and an obsessive, power hungry Tom Riddle meet. Whatever could go wrong?
Answer: everything.
Pairing: Tom Riddle X Demigod!Fem!Reader
Content: Angst, like a shit ton of it, time travelling (duh), Albus Dumbledore slander, Madame Pomfrey as a bestie, Reader is a child of Hecate, Fleamont Potter is bestie material, a lot of "why fix him if I can help him be worse" moments, Tom Riddle learning what to do with feelings, random shit this is for my own entertainment
Warnings: Mentions of wars, Reader struggles mentally, torture, Tom being Tom, occasional 16+ scenes but I'll be putting warnings for each chapter
"You belong here, not wherever you think you need to go, demigod" he snarls at you. The word demigod comes over his lips like venom, an insult meant to reduce you into nothing more but your heritage. It makes the rage within you boil over. You don't dignify him with the effort to stand up from your bed, to match his posture. Ohh no. You stay seated, eyes narrowed with a mask of indifference on your features that you wear like jewels.
"I belong wherever I see it fit, mortal," this was going to be a long conversation you fear, but if he wants to play with fire, you'd give him an inferno straight from the gates of the Underworld.
