Be a leader, an example. Dont abuse or take advantage of your title......
When it comes to working, I understand we all have RESPONSIBILITIES in our jobs and the higher the position, the more responsibility falls on us. This DOES NOT include having some type of a power trip thinking it allows our position of authority or our position of power, as some would describe, to abuse it and treat people like they are any less than what or who we may think we are. A promotion in a job (by title or pay) or being hired in a position of power or leadership does not mean we are allowed to threaten or speak to anyone disrespectfully or use that title to get our way. We are all people and should be treated equally. I get it there are rules and laws and regulations to follow, but there no need to throw threats or abuse your position to get things done. Workers, employees, citizens, or not, who act irresponsibly means we have to call for some type of support but not act on frustration or hatred or abuse of the power we think we hold. It shouldn't even be considered positions of POWER. It should be considered positions of TRUST, but we all need to TRUST we will get dealt with for not following protocol or instructions. If anyone wants to claim POWER, then claim responsibility, ownership, and trustworthiness.
With any promotion, any opportunity to take a job, an opportunity that includes leadership, manging, business owner, authority figure, etc., show responsibility with it. Not abuse of it.
At the same time, everybody should follow those regulations, laws, and rules provided by our employers, leaders, and officials. Not one person is above any law. Not even the law makers themselves.
