My favorite thing about being a DM right now is giving my players song recommendations for their characters and seeing their reactions. In return I've gotten fanfic inspired by the song.

A quick pinned post-
This is my (@m-vatia's) side blog, a spot for me to record my notes for a homebrewed D&D game I've begun prepping! A couple of my players follow my primary blog and bluesky account so this will be where I yap without spoiling things for half my table. (:
Some points of interest in the campaign:
Magic, and the life that comes from it, originates from a rotting god at the center of the world.
The Drow Empire came to power and fell centuries ago, the species believed to be extinct. Humans are on their way to meeting the same fate.
For several decades now, approximately every five years, a wave of small automatons ripples across the continent. While they themselves are nonviolent, they have become an omen of destruction, their presence often making way for what’s come to be known as the World Eater, a worm-like beast far greater in size than the dragons of myth that leaves a trail of destruction in its wake when it appears.
As of writing this, this blog is empty, but here's my tagging system:
NPCs: "#oc: [NPC NAME]"
Locations: "#location: [LOCAL CITY NAME]"
General World Building & History: "#swr: [TOPIC]"
Art: "swr: art"
Rambling and Session by Session Notes: "#DM thoughts"
As with my non-commissioned art, anything I post here can be used in home games with credit (:
I named a dnd NPC "Chad Chuckleton" once
wasn't able to top that one ever since
I think the funniest thing my party ever tried to do was, immediately after being sent into town by the town authorities to look for a missing person, decided to get themselves arrested by the guards to be taken... to the town authorities to find out what they know.
"Sorry, we don't know anything yet. We just sent some people into town to search for clues about 15 minutes ago, if you want to wait around until they come back that's fine but it'll probably take a while"
I get so gay off that writing lore for my dnd campaign that there’s no way my players will ever have the chance to learn about

I get embarrassed when my dnd players figure out my evil plans as if I haven’t been laying clues since the first session.
