One thing I love about Brennan as a DM is how unapologetic he is when it comes to dealing with characters in mortal danger.
If I were in his shoes, I would've been beating myself up for "not being clear enough about how dangerous that place was." But the truth is, responsibility also lies in the players' common sense, and if they throw themselves into the lion's den... well, it is what it is.
Sooo my Campaign 4 ships list before someone brutally dies! Claim yours!
- Azulien: been there since "You've never given me your name". I feel like Azune is a good leader and an extremely competent soldier, all things that Julien deeply respects, and this guy NEEDS to devote himself to someone that he respects. They share the trauma of growing up with a sword in hand, and Julien, once freed from his own toxicity, could be a steady rock for Azune. I saw an angsty slow burn and I WENT for it.
- Halaire: it's complicated and I love complicated things. I am pending more into a deeply loving and deeply platonic relationship, but I still want to see Hal inside of Bolaire. Behind the mask.
- Thaisha X Vaelus: idk the ship name, sorry. But I can see Vaelus shifting her worship towards Thaisha and discover a new path of life because of her. And I feel like they could relate in a deep, personal level as they both devoted their lives and stability to a higher cause.
- Wicanny: naive, codependent and a bit toxic. This relationship is in for big feelings and big trauma, and I'm here for that.
Special mention to Hal and Kattigan. I don't necessarily ship them romantically but I want them to have a deep and heartbreaking conversation about being fathers in this world. More kudos if Kattigan helps finding Hal and Thaisha's son because he doesn't want another parent to suffer because of the Tachonis.
Two sides of the same coin
This Kattigan is very different from the one in the first episodes, and I'm really happy about this development.
I've missed Robbie's silliness so much, and I am glad that he (probably) saw how much Kat needed a shift and went for it.

So. I rewrote the last 20 minutes of Good Omens' Finale in around 2500 words. Nobody dies, God has answers, humanity is deeply loved and Crowley shows affection by kissing AZ on the head.
It's not perfect, but I'm proud of it and brings me a lot of peace.

Ignoring the shift brought by Season 2 is Good Omens’ Finale's real problem. My two cents.
I need to talk about Good Omens or I’m going to explode. I still can’t fully come to terms with the ending. Even though I had known for a long time that humanity was the only path truly available to Aziraphale and Crowley, the way the story ultimately got there still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
The thing is, this ending feels 100% consistent with the Aziracrow of season one and the book. The core of the first season has always been humanity, starting with an Antichrist named Adam who chooses to stay human. In that context, Aziraphale and Crowley sacrificing themselves for free will makes perfect sense: no God, no Ineffable Plan, no apocalypse. Even Crowley’s desire of granting free will to humans feels entirely in character with who he was in season one.
If only there hadn’t been an entire season in between that shifted the narrative focus somewhere else.
In season two, Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship becomes the emotional center of the story. Humanity is still there and still meaningful, but the focus moves toward romance and emotional intimacy. The audience is thrown into a radical shift in perspective compared to season one, and the “divorce” in the final episode fully cements that perception. The ending is not about humanity, it's about an angel and a demon, who are explicitly in love with each other, taking different paths.
Then season three arrives. The story returns to the apocalypse, to the theme of humanity, and to the ultimate sacrifice for free will. The shift introduced in season two remains only in its practical consequences, but not on an emotional level, where Aziraphale and Crowley instead seem to regress into the versions of themselves from the first Armageddon. Is that a choice to blame? Not necessarily. That was always the original idea, and the writers simply respected it.
Season two was a later addition, and the difficulty of integrating its consequences into an ending conceived around different assumptions is palpable. Season two (I won't name names) leaves season three’s writers with the impossible task of steering a story that had shifted toward romance back onto existentialist tracks. And in ninety minutes.
The result, at least to me, is a sense of inconsistency not with the original characters themselves, but with the overall development of the series, including season two. That’s where the feeling many people had (characters who feel OOC, and a conclusion that doesn’t fully fit) comes from.
To me, it’s not a bad ending, nor do I think the characters are truly OOC. But, as far as I’m concerned, this finale failed to fully reconcile the original vision with season two, leaving behind a sense of incompleteness. Especially for that damned kiss.
The major upside, however, is that Sir Terry Pratchett’s ideas seem to have remained the priority. A win is a win.
found myself pretty halaire pilled tonight (its 6 am)
I'm so sorry

"Mask, you bastard. I put masks on the entire chorus because of you."
As in: after decades of work to build a theater that reflects my ideas and my art, you were such an inspiration to me that I made you one of its symbols.
Oh, the level of devotion between these two. 🎭
Take a bow!
Occthimble cold open!!
WAIT I'm three episodes behind because of work and you're telling me that Bolaire asked Hal to STAB his current body?
HELLO?
I just saw someone say that the CR Instagram page is using 🎭 to refer to both Bolaire and Hal.
And yeah. Sure. I’m fine. This definitely won’t send me into a desperate shipping spiral. Not at all.
