Destash complete!
On the weekends over four months I made eight blankets using up 17 skeins of yarn, at least 5 being the large pound skeins, yay! My stash feels more manageable now as everything is not all squished together.
I need to rearrange some yarn; what baby yarn I have left will fit in a small bin as will my chenille yarns and cottons. Sis had arranged everything by color for me which I'll keep for the acrylics. It feels so good to be able to do this!
Last one! Baby blanket #8! This used up 3 skeins each of the colors. The aqua is from Nephew's blanket and the yellow was the from the yellow lot I had (I still don't know where it came from lol). I had a ton of white.
Pattern is a simple sc and dc in the same st, sk a st across (my favorite go-to). The border is a Quick & Easy One Row Border on sweetpotato3.com (technically it's 2 row as you need a foundation row lol). It is simple but it looks really cool, I'm glad I found it!
Baby blanket #7! This used up one skein of each color and the pattern can be found on daisycottagedesigns.net.
Funnily enough these skeins were left over from another baby blanket, back when I did Nephew's (I overbought).
The pattern is a row of dc, then a row of 3 dc, ch1 and then skip a stitch, and repeat across. Did 2 rounds of dc of each color for the border. I like this pattern as it works well with anything - 1 solid color, stripes like I did, or variegated yarn:)
Baby blanket #6! This used up a 1 lb skein and the pattern is CJ's Crochet Flower Blanket from daisyfarmcrafts.com. It's a shell stitch that's supposed to look like flowers
Like this.
It took me forever to get it started as I kept messing up but when I finally got a hang of it it was fine. Still took me two weekends though, lol. It came out really cute:)

Baby blanket #5! (Can you tell I haven't blocked it yet lol) This used up a 1 lb skein. The pattern used is one I found on UK Prima Yarn's website here:
Perfect for beginners
it's part of a baby set so if you want to make a layette for a baby shower this is perfect:) the blanket pattern is easy and it looks great with the variegated yarn I used, will definitely make again.
Baby blanket #4 used up one whole 1lb skein (blue) and 3/4 lb skein (white and blue striped). Pattern was a simple sc in one st, dc in next repeat for row with a border of a sc round then a hdc round. Since I had more of the solid I did 2 rows of it and alternated 1 or 2 rows of the striped. It's funny as if you look at the single row from the front it looks much smaller than when seen from the back!
This is literally all I had left of the solid blue when done. Winning at yarn chicken is great😁
Baby blanket #3! Used up 3 skeins and a little of a fourth of this soft lemony yellow:) The pattern is a row of sc, the next is a row of crossed dc (you skip a stitch, dc in the next st then dc in the stitch you had skipped). Border is a simple scallop. The funny thing is I used this pattern before but on a Pullip hat years ago! It's a great pattern as it's very simple but has a great texture:)
