i just finished Space Opera by Catherynne M. Valente. i’ve read her middle-grade, i’ve read her political writing. and then i picked up that absolute monstrosity of a book.
it was fun. it was silly. it made me dramatically fling my arms out to read particular lines. i copied paragraphs of stunning questions about the nature of sentience.
AND THEN IT WAS THE END AND THE END WAS DEVASTATING. CATHERYNNE WHAT.
anyhow. mira wonderful star is the most important character i have interacted with ALL YEAR and all i want to do is hug her.
